Hoo weee….

The Fudds are really coming out of the closet on this Zumbo thing.

Do a google search on “NRA Zumbo”

You’re going to see hundreds of Fudd hunters typing into various blogs about how “the NRA and their paranoid brainwashed members”  are ruining Zumbo’s life over “nothing at all”.

They’re saying stuff like, “I guess I’ll make the NRA happy and go buy an AK47 for next deer season.”   What a bunch of clueless assholes.

I’ve heard Fudds say they will not join the NRA but I always thought it was because they are too cheap.   It turn out that they really believe the “ugly gun” Brady bunch crapola.

It amazes me.

A 30-06 bolt gun with a scope is an excellent sniper rifle.  Do the Fudds think they are going to be permitted to keep such a weapon by the Hillary & Co. just because it has a wood stock?  In its own way a fudd bolt gun in 30-06 or 300 win mag is a much more dangerous weapon than an AR15.

Talk about dumb.

The NRA has three sets of enemies:

1.  Scumbag Liberal Fockstains that hate the NRA (like Hillary).

2.  Fudd Hunters that hate the NRA (like Zumbo).

3.  Totally Extreme ™ Tactical Commandos ™ that hate the NRA (like half the people on AR15.com).

I say to hell with all of them.  I don’t even own an AR anymore but I hope Zumbo starves in the gutter.

The funny thing is that, from what I saw, at least, the NRA had nothing to do with what happened to Zumbo.  Maybe I missed something, but it looked like a internet discussion board driven jihad, not something that was orchestrated by the NRA.  Heck, by the time they could figure out what to do about it, the damage was probably already done.

Exactly, but that fact sure doesn't stop anyone from trying to find somebody to blame. Jim did what he did, and pissed a lot of people off...and they'll be pissed for a long time. I just don't understand why so many of these type of threads keep popping up. Just a lot of useless negativity that keeps the shit stirred up, and blinds everyone to any positive action.

How about this little gem:

"Power corrupts and the NRA's power has made it a sick and twisted organization. The only silver lining in this story, if there is one, is that evil eventually always overreaches itself, eats its own young, and thereby destroys itself from the inside out and, if these socalled hunters and shooters turning on Jim Zumbo isn't a horrific example of this process in action, then I can't imagine what would be. I can only hope that Zumbo survives this treachery, stronger and more influential than before, and remembers that revenge is dish best served cold. The NRA needs to be beaten back to where it now belongs, in the dark and sleezy shadows along with its sister institution, the KKK."

That was written in response to an article in western outdoors travel magazine.

Do a search, the web is full of this shit.

Jeesus, how clueless.

First they can't wrap their brain around the fact that the Second Amendment isn't about duck/deer season anymore than Zumbo could.

Second, the NRA had NOTHING to do with it. If this was a NRA directed stance I'd be so fucking thrilled I'd be skipping down the street with a fucking lollipop.

Third, they don't seem to understand that OUR enemies are THEIR enemies. Zumbo joined the enemy.

Some would call that "non contructive behavior" and an example of "poor teambuilding", but I think it's GREAT.

IN FACT I THINK IT'S FRIGGIN' WONDERFUL.

Why would you want him to?

The thing is, yes they probably will get to keep them... quite a bit longer. We more likely own bolt guns than they are to own EBR's, or are more likely to buy them when our options dwindle.

So in the eventuality that we lose ours, it will only condense a larger number of firearms owners into a smaller category, effectively increasing our voice. They may not defend ours, but when ours are gone, you can't tell me half this board would call it a day and go home. The fight for bolt guns is going to be a MUCH harder one, and both anti's and fudds know it. Easy categories first. Saturday nights, assault/.50's, handguns, shotguns/bolts. Ammunition isn't immune either... just another front to be aware of.

Really?

I lived in NJ when everyone was ORDERED to turn in their "assault rifles".

It's funny how a bogus idea like "uber-deadly 223 assault rifle" can become a law.

A law that carries prison time with it.

A law so weird and pointless that the state police cannot answer a simple question when asked.

This Dumbo Zumbo crap could get that law passed in other states.

IT'S NOT LIKE THE "ASSAULT WEAPON" LAWS ARE BASED ON LOGIC.

We're not fighting logic, we're fighting liberal bullshit.

I say we keep this Zumbo topic alive until he puts a finely crafted english fowling piece to his temple (but not an assault rifle, please!).   Teach the other Fudd assholes a lesson.

Steyr, I think you really hit the nail on the head.  I can't help but wonder, though, if this isn't the Old Guard talking.  My father and many of his friends qualify as Fudds.  I know much of the sentiment being echoed by many of these people seems to be rooted in an anachronistic mindset that is due, IMO, to a lack of exposure to EBR's.

The shooters and hunters I've met in my age  range (I'm 26 now) do not begrudge the EBR's as hunting weapons.  Heck here in the South, the SKS and AK are perfectly accepted deer hunting weapons.  These people might prefer a bolt gun for deer hunting, due to minimum caliber restrictions in some states, but coyote and most varminters around my age look exclusively to the AR system.

Enjoy the Hillary/Obama show? You'll love the Zumbo/NRA show

by Martha Rosenberg

Tell A Friend

Just as the Hillary/Obama bowl winds down there is a new match-up between like minded players: The NRA/Zumbo show.

If you've never heard of Jim Zumbo, you certainly won't now.

The outdoors personality and big game hunter had his weekly TV show on the Outdoors network and position as hunting editor with Outdoor Life magazine abruptly terminated last week for criticizing the use of military-style assault rifles by hunters to shoot coyotes and prairie dogs and calling them "terrorists rifles."

Thousands of knee jerk assault rifle fans hunt and pecked their outrage to the TV station, magazine and respective sponsors and Zumbo was dispatched like the Canadian bear he posed with in 2004.

Having made an example of Zumbo, the NRA lost no time in telling Congress You're Next if it attempts "to create a new ban on semi-automatic firearms." As if Congress lives off Mossy Oak, Cabela's and Viagra ads like commerical media. Or 5,000 angry emails would sway an election.

But the fail-to-toe-the-party-line-and-you're-dead-meat threat rang out as unmistakable as the bully's threats on the schoolyard.

Nor was the NRA through.

It accused Billings, Montana Mayor Ron Tussing of being part of an "anti-gun coalition" for his membership in Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns which seeks to prosecute illegal gun traffickers and dealers and improve firearm tracing laws.

Mayor Jared Furiman of Idaho Falls, Idaho, actually resigned from the 150-mayor group after similar pressure.

"It boggles my mind that anybody would want to handcuff law enforcement," says Tussing, a former law enforcement officer himself with memories of 28 rounds fired at his SWAT team by criminals during an operation in Nebraska.

Tussing tried to soften his position--saying he doubted Billings would conduct the New York City style "stings" against gun dealers that have outraged the gun crowd--but no cigar. Zumbo also apologized saying he'd had a rough day hunting coyotes in bad weather.

Yeah, Yeah. We heard you the first time.

Still, not everyone's genuflecting before the NRA.

"The NRA is off the deep end, and doesn't speak for me or a lot of other gun owners," wrote a retired firefighter on the Billings Gazette web site.

"They have used half-truths and sometimes outright lies to smear and intimidate public servants who don't share their narrow extremist agenda, which includes making 'cop-killer' bullets and machine guns legal to own."

"The NRA has turned into a weird cult and totally lost sight of reality," seconded a commentator named MK. They may define "the mayor as anti gun. I'd define them as anti cop."

There are Jim Zumbo supporters too.

"People who think Zumbo is worse than a traitor need to take some Prozac," wrote a commentator on dailypundit.com. "I think that he represents a strong majority of the shooting community."

Finally there's outdoors writer Pat Wray, who was himself Zumbo-ed and Tussing-ed by the NRA last year for appearing to side with its enemies.

"For decades the NRA has fostered a climate of fear and paranoia among gun owners," writes Wray in the Corvallis Gazette-Times in Oregon. (Notice he's still writing?)

"They have hammered home the message that everyone is out to take our guns...[and nowhere] has that message taken root as strongly as within the owners of the military style rifles, and it was they who came after Zumbo in their thousands."

The danger in the NRA's "friendly fire bowls" is not ruined careers but appeasing the NRA, no matter how outrageous its demands.

(Is "Leave my Rocket Propelled Grenade alone" different from "Leave my gun alone"? asks Frank Abderholden of the News Sun.)

Because everyone knows to appease a tiger who's chasing you and your friend you only need to run faster than your friend.

He said something stupid but the damage isn't anywhere near deserving of the man killing himself.
This stupidity has gone way too far, and we are starting to hurt ourselves more than he ever did.

You want something to fix what he did? go post the links for all these blogs in a thread over Ted Nugents board and ask Zumbo to start addressing these poeple himself, that would actually start doing some good and the guy might be able to redeam himself somewhat without simply being given back the gravy train he was on, he could earn it back.

You're absolutely right but there comes a time to cut the attack back and focus on damage control.
Riding Zumbo till he kills himself will simply make him a martyr for all the fudds and gun grabbers out there, sicking him on these blogs may change some fudd minds and can give him a way to help repair the damage he did.
By all means, keep a watch for other turn coats and do the same to them but we're over doing it at this point with Zumbo, we're making ourselves exactly as the gun grabbers portray us, heartless, uncarring psychopaths who shouldn's be trusted with guns. It's going too far.

Tell A Friend

Just as the Hillary/Obama bowl winds down there is a new match-up between like minded players: The NRA/Zumbo show. The Hillary/Obama bowl sounds like her attention is fixed on liberals and trying to decide which one will bring us toward a communist state faster.

Knee jerk seems to indicate that we took action without the facts or considering the consequences, which is false Zumbo made it clear where he stood and the consequences were showing what happens to those who lump in gun owners with terrorist.

There are a lot more than 5,000 members in the NRA sister.  Maybe do your research a little and find that the firearms industry and those companies that support it employ millions of people in the districts where our reps come from.

But the fail-to-toe-the-party-line-and-you're-dead-meat threat rang out as unmistakable as the bully's threats on the schoolyard. Why would we want people who disagreed with the Second Amendment to have our support? You mean the liberals like her don't expect people to toe her party-line?

Nor was the NRA through. Not by a long shot sister.

It is an illegal witch hunt that sole intent to disrupt the sale of firearms to law abiding citizens there are already crimes on the books to prevent illegal gun sales or they wouldn't be "illegal" now would they?

Mayor Jared Furiman of Idaho Falls, Idaho, actually resigned from the 150-mayor group after similar pressure.

"It boggles my mind that anybody would want to handcuff law enforcement," says Tussing, a former law enforcement officer himself with memories of 28 rounds fired at his SWAT team by criminals during an operation in Nebraska.  Ohhh, yes only SWAT teams dressed in gestapo military gear should be allowed to have firearms otherwise how can they serve their "no knock" warrants based on faulty addresses and criminal informants? Oh yeah, and guns only are purchased and owned by criminals.

Tussing tried to soften his position--saying he doubted Billings would conduct the New York City style "stings" against gun dealers that have outraged the gun crowd--but no cigar. Zumbo also apologized saying he'd had a rough day hunting coyotes in bad weather. Ohhh, so we're suppose to count on this Tussing's good graces in picking what he will or wont do depending his mood that day? He didn't appologize because he recognized black rifles as the intended firearms of the Second Amendment he appologized, because he thinks they may have some use in hunting afterall...the man just doesn't get it.

Yeah, Yeah. We heard you the first time. Yup, unlike you and your liberal friends we recognize right and wrong.  Actions speak louder than words and if Zumbo makes a true act of contrition than we'll forgive him.

Still, not everyone's genuflecting before the NRA.

"The NRA is off the deep end, and doesn't speak for me or a lot of other gun owners," wrote a retired firefighter on the Billings Gazette web site. Nope, I'm guessing the Brady Group speaks for this individual.

"They have used half-truths and sometimes outright lies to smear and intimidate public servants who don't share their narrow extremist agenda, which includes making 'cop-killer' bullets and machine guns legal to own." That statement itself is a smear and outright lie not backed up by anything credible.

"The NRA has turned into a weird cult and totally lost sight of reality," seconded a commentator named MK. They may define "the mayor as anti gun. I'd define them as anti cop." You mean the NRA has toughen its resolve in fighting for the Second Amendment, which is where its sight is firmly fixed on.

There are Jim Zumbo supporters too. Of course there are at least 25% of the American population are total idiots.

"People who think Zumbo is worse than a traitor need to take some Prozac," wrote a commentator on dailypundit.com. "I think that he represents a strong majority of the shooting community." I know a lot of fudds that wont go so far as to say that people who own black rifles are terrorist or compare them to terrorist.  This guy is way out in left field and hoping that he's the norm doesn't make it so.

Finally there's outdoors writer Pat Wray, who was himself Zumbo-ed and Tussing-ed by the NRA last year for appearing to side with its enemies. Again, would the Brady group keep someone around that came out in support for the Second Amendment? Why should the NRA be expected to tolerate anyone who is not in support of the Second Amendment?

"For decades the NRA has fostered a climate of fear and paranoia among gun owners," writes Wray in the Corvallis Gazette-Times in Oregon. (Notice he's still writing?) Maybe there is a climate of fear because every time we turn around our Constitution is under CONSTANT attack from liberals like yourself.  Its not paranoia, its call keeping on gaurd.

"They have hammered home the message that everyone is out to take our guns...[and nowhere] has that message taken root as strongly as within the owners of the military style rifles, and it was they who came after Zumbo in their thousands." Ummm, they are constantly out to take our firearms did you read HR. 1022, the previous 1994 AWB, the import bans, the 1986 FOPA ban on machineguns, the 1968 GCA, and the 1934 NFA...I could on and on.  The reason so many people have listened to the NRA's message is because the TRUTH RINGS LOUD AND CLEAR.

The danger in the NRA's "friendly fire bowls" is not ruined careers but appeasing the NRA, no matter how outrageous its demands. Yeah, I guess wanting to preserve our Constitutional Rights is really outrageous.

(Is "Leave my Rocket Propelled Grenade alone" different from "Leave my gun alone"? asks Frank Abderholden of the News Sun.) Yes, in the same fashion that allowing police to stop someone out in public suspected of criminal activity is different from allowing police to search homes at random without a warrant.

Because everyone knows to appease a tiger who's chasing you and your friend you only need to run faster than your friend. Funny the fact that a coward liberal would make that statement is very telling.  I guess they want to toss gun owners and the Constitution to the lions.

Martha Rosenberg is staff cartoonist for the Evanston Roundtable.
Rosenberg...nice yet another Jew that doesn't get it. How many times do you have to have your people come close to being exterminated right off the planet before you get it?   This woman needs to step outside of New York for awhile and live among the middle class to regain perspective on how the real world works outside of her gaurded apartment building and office space.

I visit several hunting forums, and this is the first I've heard of this slant. In fact...believe it or not, I can link you to a thread where those Fudd hunters are just as mad at Jim as most everybody is here.

You think that was a gun owner?  "Western Outdoor Travellers"  have MORE than their share of Granola Hippies.  CA is in the WEST.   I've met more than a few of these morons.

Check out many of her articles.  She is dead set against the 2nd amendment and the NRA and by looking at the rest of the site, it appears they are run by a bunch of flaming liberals. hinking.gif

How many times does it have to be explained? if you own an AR, or any black rifle, even if you don't but recognise that the second ammendment protects others right s to own them, then you aren't a fudd.

Fudds are the guys at the range who give dirty looks or make comments like"what do you need one of those for" it's pretty simple.

If you have an AR, you aren't a Fudd.

My Dad and brother are serious hunters.

I don't consider them Fudds.

Course I don't consider most hunters Fudds.

To me a "Fudd" is that segment of the population who only thinks guns are for hunting and is willing to ban those who don't meet some kind of sporting application.

They are no different from the Brady Bunch.

When a rattlesnake shakes its rattle and coils up, you blow its head off.

Some would call that "non contructive behavior" and an example of "poor teambuilding", but I think it's GREAT.

IN FACT I THINK IT'S FRIGGIN' WONDERFUL.

Do you honestly expect a gun writer to start mouthing this dizzy moronic brady bunch shit and keep his job?

Why would you want him to?

You and I don't agree on everything.

But this time I agree we did exactly what needed to be done.

The need to grind Zumbo under our collective boot trumps all other petty concerns.

I say we keep this Zumbo topic alive until he puts a finely crafted english fowling piece to his temple (but not an assault rifle, please!).   Teach the other Fudd assholes a lesson.

Horseshit and way the fuck out of line
He said something stupid but the damage isn't anywhere near deserving of the man killing himself.
This stupidity has gone way too far, and we are starting to hurt ourselves more than he ever did.

You want something to fix what he did? go post the links for all these blogs in a thread over Ted Nugents board and ask Zumbo to start addressing these poeple himself, that would actually start doing some good and the guy might be able to redeam himself somewhat without simply being given back the gravy train he was on, he could earn it back.

My friend,

I was joking, the idea being that he would not stoop so low as to use an evil AR to blow his head off.

He has no reason to kill himself.  He will get his ass kicked around for a while and then the rank and file gun fans will forgive and forget.  Then he'll go back to his dream job.

I'll tell you what's not a joke:  what he said about ARs.

I WAS IN NJ WHEN THE ORDER CAME IN TO TURN IN ASSAULT RIFLES OR FACE JAIL TIME.

NJ has tens of thousands of gun owners.  That fact does not matter. They had no power against a huge population of liberal asshole soccer moms.

THE RANDOM MORON VOTE OF 20 SOCCER MOMS COUNTS MORE THAN 19 AR OWNERS.

It really really really matter what the average moron in the street thinks.
We had pictures in the paper of guys buring their guns in PVC pipe.  And there was discussion among the government officials of how to go about arresting them.

That is no joke.

You guys want to be best buddies and forgive Zumbo and his asshole Fudd followers, be my guest.  I say fuck em.  ZUMBO STABBED US RIGHT IN THE HEART.

Make sure you have the PVC pipe all set.

Ask your buddies in CA what they think of Zumbo.

PS -

You got 50 million gun owners and 4 million NRA members in the USA.

Looks to me like we got a big fat shitpile of Fudds out there.

PPS-

I had to get in touch with a lawyer in NJ to find out if I could own a LBR M-14 clone.  The lawyer could not figure it own and the state police could not figure it out.

That's the Brave New Zumbo future for ya.
