Anyone make them before? I really like apple fritters and thought about making them. Then I saw this:
Try fritters the easy way..
Pillsbury canned croissants and any filling you want.
Unroll the dough, spread some apple or apricot or whatever preserve on and roll the dough up.
Heavy pan, heat about 1/4" of oil and lay the filled croissants in. About 60 - 90 seconds per side.
Top with sugar glaze or powdered sugar or both!
Better still is cook up some Jimmy Dean sausage, crumbled, spread some apple preserve on the dough, sausage on top of that, roll it up and fry. You can't make enough of those to make everyone happy, believe me.
