The washing machine shakes something fierce during the spin cycle.  Any ideas of what's wrong/how to fix?

It's a Maytag Legacy series machine.

Does it shake like that if you run it without any clothes in it?

It might be the same problem I had with an old one. There were shock absorber bungee strap things on all four corners. One of them broke and it shook like hell. I ordered a few off the internet and replaced the broken one. Within a month another broke, then another, etc. I think it was the bearings or something. It was old, free and beat up so we tossed it and bought a kenmore.

Same here, they can snap, or, pop off and be-re-attached.
