Don't get excited...

Nowcast as of 10:45 PM CST on January 21, 2006

Now
Showers and isolated thunderstorms continue to rapidly develop and move north at 20 mph across mainly the southeastern half of North Texas. Through midnight...locations to the southeast of a line from Sherman...to Fort Worth and Comanche may see rainfall amounts of 1/10 of an inch. However...isolated thunderstorms will result in locally heavier rainfall amounts up to 1/2 of an inch...along with occasional cloud to ground lightning strikes. The rain is expected to continue to increase in areal coverage and intensity overnight...as an upper level disturbance moves closer to North Texas. Most locations will receive rain tonight...with average amounts ranging from 1/10 to 1/4 of an inch by sunrise.

Out by Lake Lavon (now a mere puddle). We got about 5 minutes of small hail/sleet. Then it stopped.

We got a light misting today in Bee county...

Of course the ground is virtually bare now so I'm not sure there is any grass left to help...

Send some up to Okla....I was outside coming back from lunch last week at work and the place across the way from us caught fire...nothing between us but grass.

We need it up in Arkansas too. We get some tomorrow, but if it doesn't make us think about building an Ark, it wont be enough.
