And yet when you try to explain that to people, they just don't get the connection.  Partly because the media deliberately blurs the line between the two types of stem cells.  The media reports on adult stem cells being used for a cure but just calls them "stem cells" and then comments in the same article how some prominent individual/candidate/church doesn't support the use of "stem cells," referring to embryonic stem cells.  They deliberately cloud the distinction.
