Got to be Ramen

.25cents (or much lower) for 380 Calories

6.6cents a calorie

Not healthy but cheap

I'd rather hit a McDonalds double cheeseburger with 440 calories for $.99 plus another 250 calories from some $.99 fries and then 310 more from a large Coke.

Yet, you also label Ramen as "food"

Bananas and walnuts, are VERY caloric.

I think a big sack of potatoes or rice gives Ramen a run for the money.

Frosting?

I think a can of Crisco has more.

I don't know what's in it and it's not my first choice but it's better than Ramen noodles. Plus, I'm rich enough that I can afford to splurge on McDonald's if I want.

That looks pretty good. I'd probably put the kk's inside the regular burger bun with the meats though to make it less messy.

I got indigestion just looking at that pic.

I can usually find a 20# bag of potato for $2.99, which puts it around $0.12-0.15 per potato. Potato has approx .77 cals per gram (unfortunately only 2% protein and almost no fats). That puts it at $0.00043 per calorie to Ramen's $0.00066.

Beans are dirt cheap and loaded with calories. I haven't figured out calories per penny but it's got to be favorable. Plus you're not eating Crisco.

My bet goes towards butter/cooking oil/lard of some sort. Eggs are pretty high up there too, and a lot easier to eat by themselves.
