I know that GD will be able to tell me if these are actually healthy, or just fooling ignorant consumers (like me).   Seems to have lots of fiber and not much carbs; and they taste good enough.

GTG.

I've recently got into these also.
If you find one that has 75% of the carbs as fiber and they taste good enough to you win/win.

Hell, I'll try them.  Just doubling my fiber intake and being less lazy (slightly more active) I have reached my lowest cholesterol in years.

they are good for some things, but they never turn out right for me when making quesadillas. they either burn or seem chewy.

The ingredient list includes cellulose fiber. Isn't that paper?

I eat a flax seed wrap that is pretty good.

Don Pancho High Fiber Low Carb Wraps are better. Less Preservatives, less ingredients in general.

That's part of the reason I am asking, not really sure if "cellulose fiber" added to a processed food is nutritionally different from the fiber in say broccoli.

Real flour tortillas are made with white flour, salt, water and lard.

You want fiber?

Eat the frijoles.

It really shouldn't be any different. Chemically, cellulose is cellulose, and it shouldn't much matter where it comes from; broccoli cellulose is the same as cotton cellulose is the same as plywood cellulose.

What's really kind of cool is that cellulose and starch are damn near the same thing in that their both polysaccharides composed of repeating glucose units, except in starch they are alpha-linked, whereas in cellulose they are beta-linked. The end result is that your enzymes can't get positioned correctly to break cellulose into individual glucose units, so it is effectively indigestible.

I have used them several times they are good to go.  I heat them on a skillet on each side for about 30 to 40 seconds, just enough to brown them lightly and get them to rise. They really have a good taste.

Prepare them with ground turkey and taco seasoning for tacos small burritos.  Between dieting, having one family member that is a diabetic and another fighting gout, they make a great meal.

Also look for the Lavash and Pitas at Walmart that is sold by the deli counter.  Made with flax seed it is awesome for dieting or diabetes.  Makes great roll up sandwiches, burritos and thin crust pizza.

Also my Walmart carries Nature's Own "Life" low carb bread.  Look at some of the wheat or grain/fiber variants and you can get 9g of carbs/2g of fiber per slice.  It's good to go.

Beans and jalapenos have a lot more fiber and other good stuff.

Looks good.

I've never had them - I usually use these -

They make all kinds - tomato basil, spinach, white, multigrain, etc

About the same fiber/carb content - but they vary depending on flavor.
