If you were in an elevator at the top of the building and the cable broke and it went into freefall. If you could see the bottom of the shaft coming up at you and you jumped a half second before the elevator impacted, would you be OK?

Le'me hear a your fly or no fly opinion in this response as well.

Anyway, how could you know exactly when to jump?
