I used to watch C5's land at Lajes Field in the Azores from about 800 feet above, and a mile to the side the runway:

Actually, [b]Ponyboy[/b], REALERIC and I were once out at the Farm when we [u]were[/u] surprised by a very, very quiet helicopter flying directly over us!
It couldn't have been more than 2-300 feet above us, but the sound we heard was similar to someone mowing their lawn a block away! It was the most absolutely 'noiseless' object that I have ever heard fly. And, of course, it was [b]black[/b]! Eric The(Skeered)Hun[>]:)] |
