We've had the same problem in Cincinnati for the past couple of years where hospitals declare forced diversions of ambulance traffic. Cincinnati's problem is different though and stems from a mass exodus of Doc's as a result of the insurance HMO's creating tough business climates.

Well, maybe this will kill off a few of the Liberals in Austin and get our capital back to normal.

Well, maybe if they don't die they will be horribly maimed and disfigured because they couldn't get the appropriate medical attention in time. Then they'll be too embarassed to go out in public and vote and we'll take it back that way.

And why are the ERs overflowing?  Why are the hospitals going broke?  Because they are overwhelmed by patients who have no doctors...and no money...and no medical insurance...so they use the ER as their physician.  And all of us have to pay.

The fact is that liberals see it as our "duty" to take care of everybody that wants to jump on the gravy train, including immigrants, legal or not.  They also adhere to the belief that confiscatory taxes imposed on us are the answer to their social engineering experiments.

They want to creat a program to take care of everybody from cradle to grave.  They don't want us to take care of ourselves...because then they can't stay in power and tell all of us what to do...with our lives and with our money.

When the programs collapse, as they ALWAYS do after bleeding the taxpayers dry and putting millions of people dependent on government largess for their living, the Dems answer is to simply demand more money in a vain attempt to make a pig fly!

Unless the medical care system on the border states is fixed so that illegals can't just pop over the border and get care, or unless the feds start pouring in money to the state medical care systems to compensate them for not closing our borders and permitting all those no hablos from ruining the medical care system down there...then we are headed for the proverbial fiscal train wreck.

Unfortunately, the medical care problem extends throughout the entire country.  It is not entirely due to illegal immigrants but also due to a reduction in emergency physicians.  ERs are being staffed more and more by interns and residents.  Far fewer actual staff doctors.  The primary reason for this is due to increased liability insurance costs and reduced payments to the physician from HMOs and other health insurance providers.  Liberalism has increased malpractice payments in cases that should not even be considered malpractice.  This also applies to Obstetricians.  When a crack head has a miscarriage or "defective" child after the OB tells her to get off the drugs and alcohol and she turns around and gets 5 million dollars in a malpractice suit, something is wrong.  Exhorbitant suits in a hyper litigious society will bring down the entire medical profession.  Experienced physicians are avoiding "high risk" fields such as emergency medicine and obstetrics and sticking with family practice or general medicine.  Quit stealing from the physicians by allowing illegals to have free care or sueing them for something that is not their fault or we will be back to a society without proper medical care when it is most needed.

You are very right. I do know that for a fact the illegal imigration aspect at least along the border areas is a big deal, hell they have even had problems because of this in the La, Cal. Just read an artical about it a week or so ago. Heck heres a good example that seems to have disapered. THat girl in N.C who had the heart, and I believe liver or lung transplant. Her family paid a guy to bring them to the states so she could get the transplants. She ends up dying and what does the family do they refuse to donate the organs, because there lawyer said that it could hurt their lawsuit against the doctors and hospital. That was BS. An than on top of that they have her buried here so they can stay. Hell they should have been booted out of the country, or better yet locked up and than booted out upon release.
