He has only lost one election, he has had a very rapid rise to the top. The economy is going to get worse, his support will continue to fall, unemployment will continue to rise. I suspect that he will decide not to run if it all doesn't get better. I suspect he will pull an LBJ and make a statement that he will not run again. I suspect that he will not want to go down as the first African American to both win and lose the presidency.

Possibly. This election will hinge on next August's unemployment rate and price of gas.
|
|
He is going to need something big, like the cure for cancer is sourced only from his genes big or something to win or for whoever his opponent ends up being will need to get caught with a dead hooker in their tour bus 2 weeks before the election.
Right now only staunch democrats think he is doing a good job. That means he is fucked. |
|
i keep saying that Moooooooooooooochelle will get prego .... but loose the baby just a month or so before the election.
therefore pulling at the country's heartstrings and getting the sympathy vote. |

It is almost too late for any other Democrat to step in an have a real chance to beat the GOP in November 2012. This other hypothetical candidate has done no fund raising, has not set up any organization, has not recruited any volunteers, has no position papers––nothing. Only the most very hard core Democrats would vote for such a candidate, most would just stay home on election day.
If Obama is going to quit the race, he is leaving it very late. Steve |

I think its gonna get bad enough that Hillary decides to run for POTUS in 2012. That is my opinion, but given how bad his chances are becoming, I think that she'd be opportunistic enough to try it.

History i am afraid will be rather kind to Mr. Obama regardless of how his administration ends, remember who is in charge of the schools and who writes the text books. |

No way does Obama throw in the towel on a second term. He most closely identifies with Third World leaders who relinquish power only when they die or hand it over to their son.
|
|
He will run and his peeps will vote for him no matter what.
He could be pulling a 3 some with Barney Frank and Adolf Hitler on prime-time National TV, shouting Allahu-Akbar while wiping his ass with the Constitution with one hand and dropping live puppies into a wood chipper with the other and he would STILL get 40% of the popular vote |
|
I think minorities will be out in even bigger numbers to vote him in again.
I also see a lot of people saying they will not vote at all if person "A" or person "B" gets the nomination. The stay at home guys will help BHO more then anything else. |

He is Carter the 2nd..he has lost the "moderate" vote, even if every black American of voting age voted it will not help him win.
His regime resorting to blaming others at this stage of the game, is an indication that they have no ideas left except the democratic playbook that is 30 years old. He os not Clinton nor Reagan nor Kennedy..he is Obama, the black Carter and the majority of voting America knows this. |
|
He's too much of an arrogant fuckstain not to run, I only hope he loses!
|
|
He doesn't see anything wrong, that can can't be blamed on someone else. And his followers don't either. Major push from the media blasting anyone who dares speak against him or even ask an unflattering question (Joe the Plumber anyone). While he stands "above" this petty fighting and uncivilized name calling. Wins 2012 with maybe 54-56% of the vote.
|
|
Way too arrogant not to run for a 2nd term, as said every welfare/social program leech in the country will come out in droves to vote for him.
Who needs a car, they'll be bussed in. |
|
I could see him losing and then running again in 2016
The African American Grover Cleveland |
|
I'd rather him, with a proven record of incompetency and little support, run in 2012 instead of whatever even farther left politician would win the dem primary with more unfounded promises.

I don't think he even believes it's possible for him to lose. I suspect he will fight until the bitter end.

He could start 10 new wars and 50% unemployment, it will still be a close race

He's no different than any other politician. I don't think they will be so eager to get out and vote this time around. |

I think he unfortunatly wins relection......He caters to those we despise and have nothing but time to do what we all prepare for? What you ask? I believe it's going to get very ugly come this time next year as his followers will go to the streets and from there I care not to speek of........Dont deny the man his clout, I cant stand him but he still manages to get his agenda passed every step of the way...

He's more like Quaddafi than LBJ. Also, he's not an African-American. As pointed out 3 years ago by Alan Keyes, even if he had been born in Hawaii, he still would not be an African-American as the term is used in America. |
|
I really think some you guys are over estimating his chances.
You need the moderate vote to win any national election. Fence sitters for lack of a better term. He's lost that. I don't think he has a chance in hell of pulling off a victory again. Nothing is going to change in the unemployment numbers . If anything more companies are going to start downsizing their work force. Also more state workers are going to be seeing pink slips. |
|
He's far too arrogant to think he won't win.
If a majority of the electorate vote for him next year, in the face of his utter failure as a leader, it will be proof that America is cooked and irrevocably so, short a civil war and partition. Welcome to Costco, I love you. |

While seeing him quit would put a huge smile on my face, there's be a part of me that would feel short-changed. On the other hand, seeing him run and LOSE (in concert with inevitable libtard/welfare rat screaming and ranting), well, just the thought of that warms my heart.

He may very well win a second term.
He has the bully pulpit and the syncophant media to spin everything to his advantage. He has a host of sure-fire voters in the entitlement community and the bleeding-hearts to vote for him out of greed and guilt. - probably at least 35 - 40 % of the voters He has off-shore funding in addition to whatever his minions can raise from unions and normal democrat sources. And the fed keeping those interest rates down for him as well, buying him time with so called cheap credit to the consumers. He has a largely under-educated population of young voters who are easily swayed by glitz and slogans as well as a hostage class swayed by fear - the elderly in fear of what the republicans might do to their medicare and SS. That will likely net him that upper number of 40% of the voters if not more. AND he has a divided opposition right now that couldn't pull together to organize a trip to the shitter. The opposition to Obama needs to debate the issues among themselves to determine the frontrunner and then support enmasse that frontrunner to take the fight to Obama. If the R's cannibalized themselves and the disenchanted seek a third party candidate as an alternative he could clinch it. The people may stay with a known quantity long after its clear its a bad one rather than risk an unknown. At the least, the R's need to consolidate the House and take the Senate. That would be better than nothing. 4 more years of obama with Congress as it stands now, more judges appointed by obama and we won't be having these conversations. Probably won't be "allowed". But, I think people are pissed enough to mobilize now to vote him out. Given the media blitz he is sure to unleash, lets hope that anger lasts until elections. |
|
The Libs wanted to cast Obama as FDR to Bush's Hoover.
Obama is no FDR (for better or for worse). Everyday Obama is looking more like Hoover to Bush's Coolidge. He will be vulnerable, but that won't stop the Republicans from shooting themselves in the foot. |

I can't see him not running, too big an ego to give in. I also believe he has lost the middle ground of the country. They will have had enough of unemployment and broken promises. The media will once again be kissing his ass but not nearly as eagerly as before. He has alienated them along with many of the power brokers than backed him before.
All the right has to do is nominate someone decent. Not another McCain but someone who isn't going to piss off too many voters. Heck, I wou;d bet a turnip could beat Obama as long as it didn't have a shady past, questionable connections etc. |

He isn't going to have a mental breakdown.
He isn't going to be challenged in the primaries. He isn't going to drop out. He will lose, but it will be closer than it should be. Liberals, currently, are of two types. 1. they aren't going to vote R for any reason what so ever 2. They don't like Obama but their pride won't let them admit they made a mistake. There will be enough voters that Obama got in 2008 that will stay home in 2012 that will make it extremely hard for him to win. It won't be because they changed their vote however. |

I think it could be a close election and much closer than we believe it should be. The economy will certainly hurt him but not with the black vote, rather with the independants, who are already abandoning him. However, if the rioting in other countries spreads here, and night after night there are scenes of inner city violence on TV, then he's toast. And if that happens, we should then expect increased rioting in the inner cities. I really believe that's on the horizon for us, and actually am surprised this summer has been as peaceful as it has been. He'll have a real tough time overcoming that.

It looks like I am the first to point out
FUCK OBAMA That is all. edited to correct spelling of "point" |

Obama will run regardless of whether he has a chance or not.
The bribes/money he can make from a reelection campaign contributions is staggering. He's already sitting on hundreds of millions of dollars. |
