There's about to be a ban on airsoft at my house.  Last night my 12 yo and his friend spilled 1800 (One thousand eight hundred) airsoft BBs in my kitchen.

The rolling eyes was meant to communicate sarcasm.  Had you been from IL, CA, NY, NJ, or wherever, you would have been treated to dozens of replies like mine.

The rule would require residents to notify police if they plan to use items listed in the ordinance

I know I'd be making around 14 weekly calls every time  wanted to do alittle plinking with my bb gun. This would likely result in more than 15 calls n a year.....

They already did it in my town, I'm looking for the article now that way I don't have to misquote the lame ass reason for the ban.

ETA here is the article in the local newsletter:

Ordinance bans replica firearms

Adults and children are banned from possessing, carrying or pointing replica firearms in public, according to a new city ordinance approved by the Taylor City Council. Taylor Corporation Counsel Edward D.Plato said the law covers anything that reasonably
may be mistaken for a real firearm.

The misdemeanor offense carries a penalty of up to a $500 fine or 90 days in jail.

Director of Police Services Jac Desrosiers said police were called to a scene that involved fake handguns. He said it is often difficult to tell the difference between fake guns
and real weapon.
