Hi Ladies welcome to my whoring for moral support. Radio has it's merits, I just picked up an endorsement deal with a national weight loss program. Yes, I am going to be a spokeswoman for something. These people are going to pay me to be on their program....I know it boarders on immoral. So here's the deal they assured me if I stick to the program I will lose 35 pounds in 17 weeks, so I'm gonna drag you along for the ride. Come December when we have our next big show I will be the belle of the ball.  I can't wait to finally see pictures of myself and not cringe. Here's the starting point. Picture is from a couple months ago and you've all seen it, but it's as accurate an image as I have:

159lbs...ish

w00t!  congratulations

Getting paid is good.  Getting paid for something you want anyway is outstanding.  And best of all it's a self improvement project.

Are we going to see you on TV

No, no TV. Kersty Ally is safe, I haven't bumped her out. It's local radio spots for national company.  It's a new life for me and I really like the idea of getting to buy all new clothes for it and getting paid in the process.

jenn70, you do realize the before and after pics are supposed to be you in a bikini, don't you?  All the weight-loss commercials and magazine ads have the people in bikinis.  For some of the guys on here, it would have to be a bikini with the tactical gear...

Just for you Loony, A thong, SERPA drop-leg with Glock 24c and heels (or should it be duty boots?)

One thing is for sure, at my last show I tried to pull off the "school girl" thing. Reviewing the pictures I can only say my full-length mirror was a lying vindictive whore.  That will be my show garb, complete with pony tails and tanker boots and THIS time it will be "right" those will be the 'official "after"' pictures

ETA:  Oh I have a better idea....gothic school girl outfit, heels, drop-leg with Glock and an 870 slung across my back with 3 point tactical sling. NOW THAT'S ART

Good for you!

And there is nothing whatsoever "immoral" about being a role model.

Where I teach yoga, I get paid for it plus a free spa membership and they always trot me out as an example for *ahem* 'mature' women.

And nobody is getting "dragged along" with you anywhere.  I'm happy and exited for you!

PS Bear in mind that all "wieght" is not equal.  By volume, muscle weighs twice as much as fat.  If I toss a handful of crisco into a swimming pool, it will float, but if I toss an equal sized handful of lean roast beef into the pool it will sink.

If I ran a spa, I wouldn't allow a pair of scales in the place.  The idea is to lose the fat but keep the muscle.  What the scales say mean nothing.  An excedingly trim, fit ballerina usually weighs about 25% more than you think she should weigh, because her weight is mucle, while some women who don't weigh very much on the scales are weak and flabby.  Keep the muscle!

Does it boarder on immoral if you are really just being coin operated in the name of something that benefits you?.....

I told them 35 pounds before I weighed in, they are not paying me enough to buy new boobies, so I may call it quits before the 35 pound mark and they are cool with that.  I fully believe females should have curves and if mine start to fall off,  I'm going to draw the line and they are square with that

Update #1: Ready for a giggle?
Did consultation on Tuesday, started "detox" Wednesday, Thursday went in to get 'full plan' and had lost almost 4 pounds just in the 1st 24 hours of 'detox' phase. It's a PITA to get down when to take what supplements, but there is more than enough food and the plan itself is pretty simple.  It's sepparated into groups: Protiens, Fats, Starch, blah blah and you are alloted X# of each per day. They give you a guide as to what constitutes a serving of what and then 3 different "eating schedules" to choose from.  I refuse to let food be a focal point of my day so I pre-portioned meat, cheese, veggie assortments everything into baggies, so when it's feeding time at the zoo, all I have to so is throw it together. One thing that has suprised me is that even though I wasn't a carb junkie, I expected to have cravings of some sort. It has been the case. Even in the 'detox phase' which was a total protein overload, I have been completely satisfied and haven't yearned for anything inparticular that is not on the plan.

Next visit Monday, we'll see what happens

I was thinking getting down to 130 would be a good healthy wieght. Keep in mind I'm 5'3" on a good day. When I weighed in I was less than I thought so I ended up with that  35# figure. If my curves start to fall away, I'm calling the ball. A girls still gotta be soft in the right places.

Okay guys...sorry no update...haven't been close to my computer too much. Here's the deal, I feel great, clothes are loosening up in a big way and I'm frustrated to say the scale doesn't reflect it. I wouldn't care so much if my $$$$ didn't ride on my hitting a certain number of pounds lost before they start cutting checks.  Had some photos shot today with Evans Blue and 10 Years(bands) I'll post them as soon as they get to me and you can judge. I can see it now....12 weeks from now they use a photo of me in a commercial: "Jenn lost 119 inches, 5 dress sizes and 9.8 pounds" (I have to lose 10 before they hack up cash)

Screw the pounds, the cash, and BMI - body fat is the only thing that matters. Your clothes are looser, you feel great = less fat, more muscle = easier to eat what you want and not gain fat. Them muscles need something to feed 'em

Oh yeah, = sexy, too

Listen to these folks, Jenn.  You're getting more toned, and muscle actually weighs more than fat.

Your physical condition and health are much more important than the weight factor alone.

Yup, what they said... screw the scale.  You look great, you ARE beautiful.  Lose what you want to make yourself feel better and do it for YOU.  I had to lose more weight than I care to say after I had baby #3... and I didn't want to lose too much and lose my strength and my curves.  Think of it as "pleasantly plump."  Most guys don't like scrawny.

Soo... where's the picture we can see without a microscope?

And losing inches is more important than losing pounds.  Tone up, muscle up (a little), and you just might stay the same weight while dropping your fat/weight ratio.  This is what matters.  Not the BMI alone.

I had a friend in college who was 5'3 and weighed more than me (she was 160).  She was solid muscle, though, with just enough softness to cover them in all the right places.  No one could tell she weighed as much as she did, and she was very healthy.
