ARRRRGGGGGG!!!!!! I HATE dive bag zippers.
A bud gave me a super nice dive bag but the zippers are corroded in place and can't get them to move. Bag can't zipped closed.
Bag got doused with saltwater and left to sit for many months.
I've been working on them for almost an hour with a little Rem-Oil and trying to get them to move. Zero luck.
Any ideas?

Is there a way to lube the zippers once they are free?

I use a thick grease for ones that hang up like that. WD40 or Kroil should free it.

If they have that white corrosion crap on them, cleaning vinegar or CLR will remove it. I use plain old bar soap on the teeth to make it zip easier.

The CLR/Lime-Away worked! It ate away the corrosion. Still had to work the zipper loose but now they are free and working.
Lubed the zipper teeth with a chunk of beeswax.
Its good to FO now!
