Back when i lived at home, we got a half-Siamese tuxedo cat.  My parents named him Whiskers.

But, at 19 years of age, he still perks up when I visit and call him by his nickname: Homey.

Loki, after the Norse god of mischief

Joss, Chinese for luck

Feyd after a character from Dune.

Meow Goo Gai Pan?

True story. Visiting my brother-in-law. Neighbor had a 3 legged cat. My wife asks me what the cat's name is. "Tripod." So she spends the day calling, "Here Tripod. Good Tripod, etc."

Finally, my BIL says, "That 'Tripod' thing is pretty cruel you know."

Wife: "But that's his name!"

BIL: "Her name is 'Buttercup'."

Bob Cat.

But Bob is a good name for a dog too.

Bob Barker.

I had a black male cat named Bob back in the late 80's. He was a great hunter for a male cat.
He was hit by a car that severed his spine. It was horrible watching his front legs drag the back end of his body out of the street. I had him put down an hour later.

RIP Bob Cat!

"Dead" or "Died"

you could always use it to get sympathy from chicks. "my cat's Dead." "my cat, Died." can be interpreted so many ways.  Plus when you get tired of him, "Free Dead Cat" would be funny too.
