This kid posted this as a class introduction, which is supposed briefly explain yourself, it isnt even supposed to include information like this. How should i respond to this moron?
My view of our political system is that it is very broken and it is no longer the republic in which it was created. The country is lead by millionaires who are influenced by millionaires. I think that our president is a hick who could probably not tie his own shoes. I am sick of what we have become to other countries, and that is a joke and a disgrace. I have been a proud patriot for many years, but now it seems that the ideals of the people of this country and how it is run do not match mine. I vote but it seems that corruption and money win out in the end. Personally I hope to get a job and move to Canada. Its harsh, but when people advise for you to put on a Canadian flag while backpacking through Europe instead of a US flag, it's time to be ashamed of the place we live. When i move to canada i hope to one day suck a big dick. ps. I added the last sentence. |
I'd tell him to learn French if he moves to Quebec or Mandranin if he moves to the western part of the country.
yep. |
Tell him to put his $ where his mouth is and actually move to Canada.

Apologies for the flame, but when you can't figure out how to argue a side you supposedly believe in on your own, you probably have no business calling other people morons. It's not you just personally, but there's about one (or more) of these every day on GD in Arfcom asking "Help me win an argument against my dumb liberal/anti-american classmate/coworker" posts. Analyze the argument. Decide which purported facts you disagree with. Figure out why you disagree with them and offer proof. Use disproval of purported facts to negate the conclusion. Offer your own facts and your own conclusion. |

The only people who advise you to put a Canadian flag on your backpack instead of an American flag when backpacking are Canadians, dumbass. And I don't see any Canadians getting the respect we do in, say, Normandy, Japan, etc. Heck, half of Canada consists of Frenchmen the French don't want anything to do with. How fucking sad is that?

I am not following you here. Are you the teacher? Or does everybody send each other an email and get warm and fuzzy? Now I would tell the kid that he has a few good points and a few bad ones. Because he is not educated he is unable to know which is which. His best bet is to move ASAP and take his friends with him.
I can argue my own point just fine, i was just wondering how others would respond to this guy. I Just wanted a little reassurance before bashing on that guy. |

Don't send him up here! We're trying to get rid of all of those.
I don't think it hurts to ask for some "talking points" feedback that perhaps the OP might have overlooked. |

I went through Europe this May and June and you better believe I proudly displayed my American flag patch on my jacket or my backpack. 90% of the time, I got treated better than any other random person. In Carentan (an AMAZING town) my dad and I walked into a little cafe for coffee and some pastry and they were nice enough. Then the owner says almost excitedly, "Americans?" We say yes, and she makes us sit down and she serves us at our table instead of making us stand at the counter and order. Of course, it was also "Airborne Day" and every single store front was full of 48 and 50 star flags.
Tell that kid he can save on air fare because his balls can be shipped freight. Oh yeah, they also later had a few 101st vets there and all the French/English/German there sang the Star Spangled Banner in English before they did the French anthem and saluted the American flag. |
Tell him, "Don't let the door knob get stuck in your ass as you pass through the American door leaving for Canada."
If America was sooooooo bad why to we have millions trying to get in legally and when they can't legally, ILLEGALLY. |
I agree with his first sentence whole-heartedly, and it pisses me off too. The point about having to disguise your american identity as due diligence in european countries is true to a point too, although Canada is no longer the safe bet it once was. There is plenty of corruption to be found on both sides of the aisle in our government. The other stuff sounds like typical liberal diatribe.
This kid could has some valid ideas and some ignorant ideas. Why not try to enlighten him and gain another ally to the conservative way instead of pissing on his thoughts and reinforcing his misguided notions? |
The libtard is probably scoring points with the prof. You can repond by saying - I always loved my country and in fact still do. When some people choose to flee to Canada, I beleive it is truly the way of the ignorant coward. Choosing socialism is the way of ignorance. Here, we the right to bear arms in other countries like Canada, you are armed at the will of the crown.
Zing a few more about leftist's while you are at it but don't expect to get an A after the prof hears your political views. Universities are full of full blown socialist profs if not downright commies who WILL adjust your grade based on your political views. |
Lets hope my prof isnt a libtard after the post i just made....
Why bother replying to such stupidity? Ignoring him will probably be the worse thing you can do to the attention-starved nitwit.
Tell him that until he can back up his assertions with peer-reviewed research, his statements have zero value. He hasn't offered anything for you to debate.
I somehow doubt that he's gotten as far as finishing his resume. Maybe you should offer to help aspiring Canadians to fulfill their dreams. I imagine the hurdle of cashing Daddy's last check in a Canadian bank is an unsurmountable obstacle. Ty |
Oh, I don't know about that. The French who live in the former Juno Beach Sector might feel differently. |
Maybe it's just time to be ashamed of Europeans. |
Is he a Libertarian? |

My view of our political system is that it is very broken and it is no longer the republic in which it was created. Your right The country is lead by millionaires who are influenced by millionaires. Yes and the Likes of John Kerry and Ted Kennedy need to be removed form office I think that our president is a hick who could probably not tie his own shoes. But has gone to Harvard and Yale and who has flown military combat air craft been a Govoner and the Presidnet.... what have you done this week? I am sick of what we have become to other countries, Huh, who caresand that is a joke and a disgrace. Ya that all started when the Last Presedent was getting nailed in the Oval Office, kid of a let down on the old Honor thing. I have been a proud patriot for many years, Reallly? What have you done? I served in the Armed Services, what Branch were you in?but now it seems that the ideals of the people of this country and how it is run do not match mine. Thats because last I checked we arn't yet a Communist Country I vote but it seems that corruption and money win out in the end. I know how you feel, My Govoner LITTERALY stole the elction by tossing out votes of Combat troops, and a dimocrat election offical "fount" 100 votes some place Personally I hope to get a job and move to Canada. Don't let the door hit you on the way out Its harsh, but when people advise for you to put on a Canadian flag while backpacking through Europe instead of a US flag, it's time to be ashamed of the place we live. Coward I added my thoughts |
shit, you think you got it bad...dont get me started about the majority of people in my law school class.
And W got better college grades than both Gore and Kerry and scored higher on his military aptitude tests than Kerry. This was one of the main reasons Kerry didn't want to release his military records before the 2004 election. |

I'm originally from Canada (and will soon be a proud American). The reason why Canadians get treated better in the world is because they are push-overs. Think about it, if you are acting stupid (like Iran) who do you like more, the guy who tells you to stop it (the US) or the country that sits on the sidelines and says "We need to understand this guy" (Canada). The best example I can think of is the Iranian-Canadian journalist who was murdered by Iranian gov't thugs when she was arrested for reporting on woman rights. What did the Canadian gov't do? A strongly worded protest over her treatment. There are some great people in Canada (especially the west), but when it comes to the Canadian gov't, you can push them around all you want and you never have to worry about the consequences. NN |
Well, I'm glad you're an exception to the rule then. Welcome to the US, enjoy your stay. |

He is correct on some points.
I assume you don't go to an ivy league, so I don't think the kid has the option of calling a graduate of Yale and Harvard "A Stupid Hick" |
