Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help me plan a cross country trip

This spring we will be driving from Southern California to Michigan. Will be doing a combination of Hotels, staying with friends and tent camping.

Rough iteneary is:
First stop is Vegas.
Then???
Staying with friends in Albererque NM.
Then???
Staying with friends in Dallas Tx.
Then???.
Onward to Michigan.

Any nice (Gun & Family friendly) campgrounds near Flagstaff AZ?

Not sure where we will stop between Dallas and Michigan. Maybe someplace in Tenn or Ky. Will definately avoid Illinois.

Open to suggestions.
