In the market for a decent tactical vest, would like it to have mag pouches for both ar and pistol mags. I am new to the whole vest thing, I usually just use lion defense kydex mag holders when training/hitting the range.

Plate carrier or just a vest with pals webbing? Price range?

No. The 1980's called, they want their gear back.

"Tactical vests" have not been used for a long while.

Not much help other than to say if you don't get a plate carrier, don't bother.

UTG or Condor is probably right up your alley. Don't forget your call of duty skull mask.

$100, or around there. I would also not be opposed to a ''chest rig''. I don't plan on a plate carrier.

I am not ''that guy'', I can tell you that. I am simply looking for something to make range days a bit easier, should I have just said ''chest rig''?

OP, unlike these dicks, I will help you.

You want a chest rig for no more than $100.00?

This one is a good one and comes from a sight sponsor: http://www.skdtac.com/PIG-UCR-Universal-Chest-Rig-p/pig.667.htm

I almost posted that one, but I figured for someone who's hasn't tried a chest rig before the TAP rig is an ok starter too

I have a HSGI AO small chest rig with Tactical Tailor fight light triple rifle mag pouch, double pistol pouch, and general purpose pouch. It's a simple and light rig that works great for training and hog hunting.
