Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help me decide of my next end of year purchase.

Back story...The wife have a deal that for all the overtime I worked (about 750 Hrs.) I can buy 1 big item at end of the year.
 I have a 7 year old high end gaming laptop that is still pretty decent and I also have a fairly large firearm collections.

Now for the dilemma: I'm looking at a Sager 17 inch gaming laptop ($1700) to replace my aging one and then give my old one to my 13 year daughter or buy a Sig Sauer Legion SAO 9mm ($1300) for my collection?

The pistol is a investment of sorts and the laptop is a lost investment but gets more use.

What would you guys do?

But I'd get the Sig, and get your daughter a $400 gift with the money you save.
