The PSA is their 16" Premium with a MI SS12G2 handguard. It does not include a CH or BCG, and it is $399. LINK

The Stag is the 3H. I'd get it with the Diamondhead Versabase and M16 BCG. $565. LINK (Requires Customizing)

I'm open to suggestions if there is something similar out there. I'm looking for something with a 16" barrel, free floated handguard, and low profile gas block.

There's several on this site, too: http://www.law-guns.com/

I have one of their chrome lined 16" hbar uppers. Quality seems good, no issues with it.

In my opinion, the Stag is not worth $150 more.

I like Stag, but the PSA is easily the better value and deal.

PSA Then add one of their BCG CH combo for 89$.

DONE!

That BCG is a "PTAC." Is that stuff good to go?

I have that exact PSA upper. It's really nice. I put a BCM BCG and charging handle in it.

It's not really $150 when you consider it includes a BCG and CH, and the PSA does not.

Bought a Stag lower, and 3H upper for my first AR a few years ago. It's a fine product, but I agree with this sentiment.

Have fun waiting ten years for PSA to ship

True, but even when you add the PSA BCG, it's like $50 cheaper. And I don't think the Stag is "better". They're the same in my opinion in fit/finish and function. Both great products, so buy the cheaper one.

I like Stag, only have a barrel from them now, but what I had in the past gave me no problems.

Lots of people have conflicting opinions on PSA the company versus PSA the product.

I think I would want to order from Stag rather than possibly have a negative experience...

I've got the PSA upper and I have zero complaints with it. Shoots a 69 grain Sierra Boat Tail Hollow Point into one ragged hole from 100 yards.

Using it for deer hunting this season.

Note: That is not a 20 round magazine, it is blocked off to 5 rounds only.

I ordered a whole premium rifle kit minus stripped lower on black friday. I got it in like a week and a half.

I guess my decision has been made for me...

That PSA upper, like pretty much everything they offer, is out of stock.

PSA makes a good product, but I prefer Stag. They have a great reputation and track record. Stag is one in the same as CMT a well respected govt contractor.

You've been here for a month and you're already boycotting three manufacturers in your sig line?

I'd skip both & buy something with a CHF barrel + midlength gas system. Just my personal preferences.

Ive got one in my pistol build. The ptac bcg is solid. C158 bolt and all that jazz. I'm a little hesitant on their parts kit though.

I'm very happy with my PSA stuff. The barrels are made by FN. I would avoid the PTAC stuff, though, since we don't know much about it. It is supposedly mil-spec so you make your own decisions there.
