I found this mag in a box in my attic - can't recall where I got it. It holds 8 rounds. The bottom 1/4 of it appears to be made of a composite/plastic. On the floorplate it says: COLT'S MFG. CO. INC. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A. Common? Rare? Worth anything?

Common. Sold with post-bans I believe. I have four of 'em.

LOL - thanks, DScott - I don't know if I ever would have figured that out without you! :) Now, here's the next question: Why the hell would someone make an 8 round magazine for the AR?

It's reliable unlike the 10-rounders. Also, 8 + 2 is a pretty common combination for service rifle rapid fire stages.
