I'll start with the fact that I'm ready for the Fourteener comments to begin. Although i have lurked for many years and witnessed much. I've seen the hive mind of arfcom rally to do many great things over the years. The support for fellow members, the never ending fight for our god given rights, and the endless war for literacy waged by the grammar nazis. Added in with the shower cookies, beans or no beans, and 9mm or 45.

All that said, I come to you with a request for help. Help me find a job!

I've never asked for handouts; nor have I been part of the FSA. I was raised by parents who were both in the military. Like them I wished to serve my country for as long as possible. However due to a slight asymmetric hearing loss with my right ear I was PDQ even after multiple months and attempts at appeals. My recruiter worked with me for nearly a year because of my asvab scores. AFQT: 94, M:94, A:95, G:93, E:93. Average IQ of 110.

I have been working since I was sixteen and I understand good work for good pay as well as laying ground work for improvements down the road. I graduated cum lade from a community college with two associate degrees and two corresponding certificates. Not the liberal art kind either. My two associates are, cisco certified network administration and information technology and security.

I've spent two years looking for jobs pertaining to my degrees and have come up empty handed. Many times I've been told better applicants were selected. Despite always asking if there was something more specific they were looking for or how I may improve to become more competitive for their screening process. These request are usually met with "if we have an opening...".

At this point I'll relocate or Learn whatever your willing to teach to get my foot in the door for a career and for a better future.

My angus is peppered and I'm prepared for this to not go as planned.

TL/DR: Who wants to Fo and offer me a job?

Associates in computer stuff? You'll probably have to accept some entry-level stuff like Hell Desk, gain experience, and go from there.

Stop looking in your degree field and venture out.

You should tell us what your field of experience is Not your ASVAB scores which very few people including fellow veterans can decipher nor your IQ.

When my ex fil lost his job as vp of Stanley, I saw him send out resumes. 400 on his first mailing, 350 on the next.

If you are not finding what you need, step it up. Also, consider Texas, tons of opportunity here.

Get your resume on monster jobs

In seeing tons of jobs that require your certs.

Konica copier networker installers etc

Base jobs in that field can lead to jobs that have additional income from sales commisions.

I'm looking hard for work in my field also. You may have to tailor resumes for specific jobs within your skill set.
Good luck.

There's a thread about some Sheriff's Dept. in FL looking for 200+ deputies, if you don't mind face-eating cannibals, cocaine, and alligators.

Yeah not the most original name but I'm not overly attached to fake names on internet forums.
