I'm trying to put together my ASUs and my buddy and I are in disagreement on proper placement of the parachutist badge.
Is this correct or does it go on the pocket below the ribbon?
Right now I have the ribbon 1/8" above the pocket and the parachutist badge 1/4" above the ribbon.

AR 670-1 and google aren't helping.

thanks!

It goes where you've got it. Once you amass enough ribbons to where it won't fit, it goes aligned to the outside edge of the ribbons. Then, when you pick up a couple more, it goes on the pocket flap.

Where did you look in AR 670-1?  It is referenced all over the first half of the book.

Check Chapter 29 of 670-1 and it spells it all out in minute boring detail.

Where is your NDSM?

Not to be a dick, but knowing how to figure shit out on your own makes you appear much, much more competent.

PS:  You are not a fucking butter bar, you are a 2nd Lieutenant in My United States Army.

May have not been awarded yet.  If its not awarded/showing on the record yet, therefore cannot be worn.

If he's been to airborne, he rates an NDSM.  Getting that shit thrown on his ORB will take all of 10 minutes.

Basic Airborne course could have been as a Cadet.

That being said.......If he is authorized to wear the ASR that means he has completed is Basic Entry Training (OBC) therfore he should also be wearing a NDSM as well as a GWOTSM.

So he is still all jacked up.

Cadets rate a NDSM.

I was tracking they stopped giving out the GWOT within the last year.

I forgot that West Pointers get the NDSM, ROTC does not.

I looked up the GWOTSM milper befor I posted and did not see an end date, but I could have grabbed an older one when I went looking.

Either way, he is still jacked...

Blasphemy.

ETA - I can't tell from the pic, but make sure you aren't mixing Sta-Brite badges with non-Sta-Brite buttons. Maybe you should find an NCO to help you.

Hope you're better at land nav than uniform prep.

But really, as mentioned, the fact you need the internet to save you is questionable.

You have it the right place.  I recommend you buy a current copy of The Army Officers Guide.  It lays these things out IAW AR 670-1.

Lieutenant,
Page 288-297 in AR 670. It spells it out word for word. A second grader can understand it.

For the record it took me literally 20-25 seconds from this thread to track down the definite answer, and I have never served in the Military a day in my life. You're a Commissioned Officer, I hope you understand what that means and what it is going to entail. You will be in charge of peoples lives, I seriously seriously hope that this was some kind of fluke, cause wow.

again something else that you would of learned from the 25 seconds worht of research into the document you claimed was no help, yet contains simple answers every single question imaginable including all of yours.

I seriously hope you have your shit together.

P.S. If these guys are busy, ill be happy to teach you land nav when you get all fucked up with that as well.

Why don’t you have a canteen cup full of shut the fuck up?  Oh, sorry, since you never served in the military you probably have no idea what a canteen cup is.

I just went thru the same thing before getting my damn blue cord a couple days ago, GWOT isn't worn until you're I believe 30 days out of basic entry training. And thank God for someone like the OP who can give the rest of us a bad name. Thanks dude
