I want to get one of those wrist Heart Monitors but I know crap about them. I saw them in at Nashbar and the go from $35 to $260.All I want to do is monitor my heart rate so the question is if the cheaper ones are just as good as the up there in price ones? Do you own one?

I have a Polar S210.

I run quite a bit.  Most all HRM have a chest strap that you wear against your skin.  This transmits to the watch unit.

You do get what you pay for.  Factor in how much you will use it.  I use mine 5 days a week typically.

illigb,
Thanks for the info. I think I will go with the polar A3 model since I will be using this for rehab for my heart. I think my running days are over with. I will have to ask my doctor what heart rate range he wants me to walk in.
