Just wanted to let everyone know......MY BOY ROCKS!

I just got home from watching him play about 2/3rds of a football game [this was the only JV game of the season so he got a lot of play time] and he did AWESOME! I'm so proud of him. He sacked the Quarter Back twice, intercepted a pass, nearly scored two touchdowns [pulled down both times with in the 1 yard line]. He was in their face every single down. The team they played completely had to change their offense to deal with him.... and this is from a tall skinny kid that never even touched a foot ball before this past August!

Can I get a w00t!? Oh and from a completely unbaised, outside, third person party opinion, he's the best looking on the team too!

That's all, carry on! Patty

CONGRATS were you the post that was looking for atheletic supporter info a few months back?? If yes I guess the advice paid off. always great to see your kids participate in field sport.

Thank you everyone, yes that was me - not sure what he's doing down there but evidently he's taken to the sport well!

Even though I'm still really proud of him - I'm cringing now he's only gotten 6 hours of sleep and now I need to wake him up for Physics. They really should give football stars [albeit - JV stars] a break!

Good job Mom. Sounds like you're doing a good job there!

You story brought a tear to my eye. I can't wait until my son is out there rocking the opposing team. I can almost see him in action......................

Be proud, that's our future America!

Awesome feeling ain't it. It's moments like those that just make me get teary eyed. Now go out and get a jersey with his number on it and a big cowbell. God I love football season!

Sounds like he's turning into a monster! Congrats!!

It should be the exact opposite. Sports are EXTRA-curricular.
School work first, funny cave man games second.

And people wonder why many jocks can't read at grade level........

Oh I so want a jersey with his number on it and a cowbell!!

CKMorley You're right and I do enforce that rule - however I did feel very sorry for him with only 6 hours of sleep and a big physics test today. They really shouldn't schedule these games on a school night.

Will is a starting defender and does get to see a little offense action too. William is renown for being gentle and passive in everything he does - so it came as a big shock to me when I heard the announcer call him "William THE MACHINE Wehrli" yesterday.

Here he is down and ready.

On the line

This picture cracks me up [you'll see why in the next one] Here he has 3 defensive ends [lineman what ever] lined up against him -- he's #66 and looking right at the Running back.

Here is the follow picture, the ball was snapped and "William THE MACHINE Wehrli" [I just love saying that!] smokes those 3 defensive linemen! [okay, he did have some help!]

This is reposted from the woman's forum where I also bragged up my daughter and her volleyball playing. I thought I would post this here since its a slow night.

I applaud your enthusiam, but your son is on defense, the players that have the ball are on offense.

I used italics because it is hard to talk slow on the internet.

I actually knew that. I reread what I put up and I thought I conveyed that as well? Patty

Okay, I see the problem -- where he's up against 3 defensive linemen should be 3 offensive lineman?

I take it he is a "golden retriever" type of guy. Just Kidding. Please don't hurt me.

On a more serious note... my cheerleader daughter gets her learner's permit tomorrow. You guys stay off the road and stay safe.
