There supposedly will be a vote in the dead of the night tonight (after the Senate reconvenes at 0001 hours. Link
CALL and FAX your senators (both of them, and even if they're libtards) to tell them a vote for cloture is a vote for the end of their careers and the United States. Tell them to KILL THE BILL. Identify your senator: Link. Senate switchboard: (202) 224-3121 (better to call AND fax your senator directly) Do. It. Now. P.S. Socialists feed off of your apathy and overconfidence. They will try again and again to get cloture, even by holding votes in the dead of the night. Please recall the circumstances surrounding the adoption of the 1986 machine gun ban amendment. Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. Do you deserve your liberty? EDIT: Edited for correction. They're reconvening tonight to start the clock for a cloture vote to take place... on Christmas Eve. Link |

They have to do this in the dark, it won't withstand the light of day, but if they have the votes, they WILL do it.
Do you know what your next move after that is going to be? Basically, you can pay like a good little sheep, or...not pay. Merry Christmas. |

fuck congress ...........and the horses they rode in on!!!!! |

So when is this kind of shit going to stop? Is there a group I can join to help fight this bullshit instead of reading about it everyday and getting angry?

Quoted:
I don't like this. Midnight votes tend not to go well... Let them know you're vigilantly keeping watch. |
|
Hmmm...
Which one is more likely to be swayed by my phone call- Feinstein, or Boxer? |

Start your own group, network with your friends and family and mobilize your own non-violent resistance movement. This is how history is made and atrocious regimes overthrown or stopped dead in their tracks. Think outside the box. |

If they pass this the benefits won't start for 4 years, but you know the hospitals will be clogged with people trying to get their free shit.

Called again just now.
Not that it's going to help, both my Senators are voting for this bill. But we get to vote one of them out next year |

I'm pretty sure this bill is dead in the water. The one vote they need now is Nelson. Calling the vote in the middle of the night does not give them any sort of advantage. Dems need every single member in their seats, including Nelson. Doesn't matter if no-voters are even in the building. |

Quoted: Hmmm... Which one is more likely to be swayed by my phone call- Feinstein, or Boxer? Call them and tell them that THEIR PARTY WILL LOSE MAJORITY STATUS AND WITH THAT THEY WILL LOSE ANY COMMITTEE CHAIR LEADERSHIP POSITIONS THEY HAVE!!! They'll be relegated to MINORITY STATUS and have no authority over committees anymore! |

Hmmm... Which one is more likely to be swayed by my phone call- Feinstein, or Boxer? That's right, roll over and take it. On the other hand you could start recruiting challengers to the both of them. Feinstein is up for reelection in 2006. Boxer is up for reelection in the midterms (2010), and she is more vulnerable than you apparently care to admit. Roll over. |
|
Without the public option, no use in passing it, might as well vote it down!
|
|
Done. Senator, Please do not vote for cloture on what you know is a bad bill. It will only get worse in committee. respectfully, Wingnutx |

Without the public option, no use in passing it, might as well vote it down! This is a reasonable way to write to libtard senators, though I'd hate to give them the feeling that I actually support the public option. |

Yep. Call him and remind his staff that the voters of Nebraska will blame HIM for them being forced to pay for abortions. Also remind his staff that HIS OWN PARTY'S PRESIDENT cares more about federal funding for abortions than he does about the jobs of 10,000 Nebraska voters working at Offutt Air Force Base which Obama threatened to close if Senator Nelson doesn't get back on the Democrat Plantation. |
|
How about we have a voice vote at the last second to completely repeal NFA and GCA and all import bans, and authorize all military surplus (US and foreign) to be sold intact to US citizens.
|
|
Quoted: Good idea. Attack it from the left if you live in CA. Most Excellent! "Stand up for your principles and do NOT accept anything less. Vote NO on this diluted bill and hold out for more!" |
|
did i hear correctly on hannity:
1) cloture requires only 50 votes to pass. 2) any legislation passed under such is valid for 5 years only? |

Hmmm... Which one is more likely to be swayed by my phone call- Feinstein, or Boxer? Dick Durbin or Roland "I bought my seat" Burris |
|
I was under the impression it could not move ahead until the CBO released the markup of the bill, which may happen tomorrow.
Let's see. Byrd or Rockefeller. Both will vote YES even if every single West Virginian called them. |

Hmmm... Which one is more likely to be swayed by my phone call- Feinstein, or Boxer? Shit I feel ya...............Bacaus and Tester here.................I suspect the locals just here cant wait until these two turds show back here. I hope they have civilian jobs lined up. They're going to need them. |
|
How is it even possible people vote for these senators...
IL: Durbin / Burris CA: Boxer / Feinstein WI: Feingold / Kohl and a governor named Doyle MN: Franken / Klobuchar When I think hard on it, I lose what little faith I've had in my fellow countrymen and the citizens of my current state. |

2010 will see more change in the makeup of Congress than 1994.

Quoted: Hmmm... Which one is more likely to be swayed by my phone call- Feinstein, or Boxer? You're thinking inside the box. Call them up and take Howard Dean's line. Tell them that it isn't good enough. Without the public option the bill is worthless and just helps the insurance industry since it forces us to buy from them. Tell them it helps nobody and they shouldn't vote for it. |

I'll give Chris Dodd a buzz. I think he cares about my opinion.
Lieberman, however, is in gray area. God knows what sways him... I think he just likes to piss people off. I'll vote for him again. - BG |

I just emails these 2 tards (Franken / Klobuchar) and told them not to vote for a bill with no public option.
I am feeling sick now |

I am feeling sick now I bascially just emailed them the same thing and told them to KILL THE BILL. I wonder if we had well over 20 million people show up to D.C. to voice our concerns on what government is doing. Most of them wouldn't care. |
