They are very nice,a pal has a regular one(629)-not a preformance center model and its a real beauty!I think its a 629,might be a 625,but it looks 'exactaly' like that w/o the comp.They had them in.357+.45.I've seen both @ 500ish used fun show priced.

You're no POS, and thats a good looking gun. But these guys kicked us in the n*ts and are yet to admit any wrongdoing. Collaborated w/ the Leftists in an underhanded attempt to impair your God-given and Constitutionally-recognized rights. I'm ready to forgive and forget, but only after they admit their grave error and plead for mercy. They aren't going to do that, so they can go bankrupt and rot in Hell, along with anyone else who wants to make me a subject of The State.

I won't buy from them either. They really caved that year; I couldn't believe it. When it comes to buying roskos I stick with Ruger.

Why not just get one of these? The price is competitive and the trigger can be tricked out with some Wolff springs. Moreover, Taurus is DEFINITELy on our side!

The owners who made the agreement are gone and lost their ass on the investment. They were Brits. The current owners are Americans and have disavowed the agreement and it is dead. They publicly did this in this month's Shooting Times mag. What more does anyone want? Why is this so difficult? What more can they do? I think the guys who keep pissing and moaning about this wouldn't buy a revolver anyway and just like to have something to whine about. It's easy to slam something you don't want anyway. If you want a revolver it is one of the best (especially for the money). The only one better is a Freedom Arms for triple cost. I have a Hunting model that is similar but has the slab bbl. with integral scope rail and factory Magna-Port. It will shoot into 1.5" at 100 yards. If you want it, buy it, piss on what others think. We have much worse enemies to fight without destroying ourselves.

New Management! Remember? Will you guys never be happy until we lose another american gun manufacturer?
I like the non fluted cylinder, but the brake I'm a little iffy on. Maybe the change in size makes it look like an add on, not part of the guns design. Grips looks a little off for that gun also. Maybe it's too small. |

did we read the same article? the only thing they said was they would not enforce it as the feds had decided not to enforce their end. Where was the apology? The remorse for selling out the US gunowner? I didn't read that anywhere in the article. Perhaps i need to re-read that again.

The article in masslive.com gives a good explanation of why the new owners did things the way they did, which was low key. The issue was not the HUD case, but the Boston case. The way S&W handled it, the City of Boston was able to save face, which we all know is very important. They were able to say we made a difference and impacted the gun industry. Had S&W got in their face, it's likely the City of Boston would have continued with this BS.
Anyway, that's enough for me. I'm willing to give them a chance and support the new management as best I can. But it they screw with us again, I will never support them again. |

The_Beer_Slayer, what I got out of that article was, the British got sent home without their ball.
S&W is now an American Company. The British influence is the only reason I am giving them a second chance. Unfortunately legal documents have been signed (by British interest); so far I think the new management have handled them well. So far. SSD |

I am not an attorney, but I do know enough about contractual law to be able to say they cannot just "decide they don't want to do this any more" after signing a legal contract. Go to court on what grounds? "We changed our mind." Yeah, right. [whacko] They have distanced themselves as much as possible and none of the people who struck the deal with the Devil are there in any capacity. Let it go. There is nothing to be gained by killing the company. If only you guys had this much energy to expend hating our true enemies. [:(] |
