I won the grand prize in the 1934 Group raffle in 2002, a full-auto Vector Uzi carbine. I had just decided two months earlier to get into the title II game and had bought (you guessed it), a full-auto Vector Uzi carbine. So I sold the one I won to my brother for $1500. They were going for $3000 at the time, but he's my brother, and he owes me big time for awhile now. I took the $1500 and bought a DSA STG58, a scope and some mags, so everyone made out in the end.
The kicker is that the 1934 Group never cashed the $30 check I sent for my three raffle tickets. I think it was probably because they'd lost their court case at that point and therefore had no purpose for the money. |
