I have. Disturbing the peace (fighting).

Oh yeah, and one night in an Army jail for fighting and being drunk. (I didn't get in trouble though, my commander believed my side of the story )

Anyone else?

can't say that i have

There were many times I should have been. I've been able to talk myself out of quite a few situations. I did however spend one night in jail. Nothing serious and the arresting officer paid my bail fee.Isn't that something?
Link Posted: 5/23/2005 5:15:40 AM EDT
One time. Won't do it again. It was the anti-w00t!

Yep, lawyer out of town. Feds held me for 12 hrs before I could call my lawyer.
Link Posted: 5/23/2005 5:22:56 AM EDT
Not me, but my brother did. Didn't tell me about it for 9 months.

He refused to take his shoes off at the airport, then refused to leave the airport when the cops asked him to leave ("Why? I'm not breaking the law.")

Went to jail, his lawyer got him out, went to an arraignment, no charges pressed.

Negative.

And I have no intention of breaking my streak, either...
Link Posted: 5/23/2005 6:05:37 AM EDT
Just once.
Link Posted: 5/23/2005 6:08:52 AM EDT
Nope.
Link Posted: 5/23/2005 6:10:43 AM EDT
I worked for 2 1/2 years in a jail. Kind of a different perspective but I still saw what goes on.

Mr Clean did you say Feds? That doesn't sound good.

Saw it on a ride-a-long once. I saw all i needed to see to make up my mind that i did not want to be there ever again!
Link Posted: 5/23/2005 6:33:55 AM EDT
I've spent the night in jail a few times for drunk in public, drunk & disorderly, fighting, etc.
Link Posted: 5/23/2005 6:42:57 AM EDT
Only when I was making a deposit of humanity into the jail.

If you ever end up in my lock-up..........just tell me you are an ar15.comer and I will ensure that you get two blankets and a cellmate that has a small pecker!!!

Just kidding I will still you in with Bubba and his seven friends.......but just think.........you will never have to hide a fart again!!

If you haven't spent the night in jail for drunk and disorderly, you probably live a pretty dull life.

Once. I was arrested on a felony Failure To Appear warrant.

Someone stole my identity, charged up a bunch of stuff on credit cards in my name, and didn't pay.

The warrant came through while an LEO was preparing to write me a citation for an infraction of which I was guilty. He got so excited about capturing a real live fugitive he forgot about the infraction.

The mess cost me about $3,500 in legal fees to straighten out.

I worked the jail for about a year I thought it was kinda fun
Link Posted: 5/23/2005 7:09:40 AM EDT
yep.......4 nights per week......but then again I work at a max. IMHO the best shift to work. All the fuckheads sleeping. Make your rounds to make sure nobody is hanging up.....pretty easy. Read the book New Jack if your contemplateing becoming a CO.

Once. Plead guilty to having an expired registration sticker, the UCW charges were dropped as my knife was within the legal limits and it took me about 5 days to get my AK (SAR-1) back.

I need more fingers and toes
Link Posted: 5/23/2005 9:41:22 AM EDT
Yeah, but I had to insist that they lock me up. Quite entertaining, really. It was about 2:00am on a Sunday morning, and I had been drinking quite heavily that evening.

Drunk in Public...the high point of my criminal career.

Spent the night in jail twice. Portland Oregon.

A larger collection of total losers I've never shared a room with.

Making a point not to go back.

P.S.- I was innocent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, the 1st Sargeant showed up and got me out after a few hours.
Link Posted: 5/23/2005 9:52:46 AM EDT
Nope, not yet. Been cuffed and in the back seat a few times though. Mother always said I could talk my way out of most anything... so far, she's been pretty close to right.

Never have and never plan to. I’m 23 for what it’s worth. I don't drink so I bet that cuts my chances down drastically.

I don't think jail time is a prerequisite for interesting memoirs.

Nope, just proves you were dumb enough to get caught

ETA: <--------- Was dumb enough to get caught a few times. 10 days concurrent.

Don't count on it. All it takes is a cop with an attitude who for some reason thinks you're an asshole, even though you've never met him.

(No offense to the "good" LEOs out there, but ya'll have some real scumbags working with ya)

Um..

I would like to invoke my fifth amendment rights and not answer any further questions.

Pretty much every day. I always take someone with me. Yesterday it was a drunk blonde co-ed in a bikini.

Two go in, only one leaves.

One part of a night. Open container...GF bailed me out. The "system" sucks.

Only when dropping someone off and they were really busy. Or the computers crashed. Or had to wait on prints to come back.

You guys need to move to a free state. in my state you cannot be taken to jail for Drunk in public. You can be ticketed, and handed off to a responsible adult relative or friend. Or the cop can babysit you until you are sober enough to care for yourself. But you cannot be booked into jail.

Did she have a camera phone on her?

Don't need it. I have almost 30 minutes of video showing the Standard Field Sobriety Tests. The spontaneous handstand to PROVE she was not drunk is really going to impress the jury.

Her foul language is going to impress them even more.

It's stories like that that make more than a little happy I have an uncommon name in this area. First, middle and last.
