Just out of curiosity, has any source actually come out and identified the weapon that the nutjob at Case Western used?  I googled it, and just came up with references to "believed to be an automatic weapon" and crap like that.  

I'm guessing that if no source is out there screaming about it having been a full-auto MAC-10 with laser sight and armor piercing, depleted uranium cop-killer bullets, that it's probably just a regular semi-auto pistol, which isn't sexy enough to report.

CPD Chief Lohn says "Tec nine and a 9mm handgun."

Rev. Dean Kavouras, CPD Chaplain says "Many many unspent 9mm cartridges inside."

Aparently the Tec-9 lived up to its reputation.

On NPR this morning, the weapons were described as "2 high powered handguns".

Cobray and Ruger 9mm pistols.  Apparently they can't be called machine guns anymore, but the last thing I heard was one reporter giving out the prices and saying that the Cobray was referred to as an "assault pistol for around $300 on the internet."
