I have astigmatism and looked at a eotech xps2-1 today.
And it look clear to me. I guess I need a holographic sight. This is for my X95.

The thing is...have they fixed the issues  that was goin on with them? I want a good sight.

I would say probably. Most around here only give guys 1 shot, and L3 has burned their bridge in the eyes of many. I've always liked Eotech, so I guess I'm on the fence.

You should look at the Vortex UH-1, holosight with an unlimited no BS replacement warranty.

Supposedly every electronic optic (and really even iron sights to some degree) suffers from thermal drift. I read a claim that sights produced after a certain point had decreased the amount of drift down to a range very comparable to other high end electronic optics.

I believe all the warnings are still in the instructions, so my guess is no. Repackaged poop is still poop.

did you look at it with and without your glasses?

Very well put and reasonably stated.

OP, I pick up holographic sights better as well. I personally wanted to support Vortex on my last purchase, so I got a UH1.

Guys in here have also had good luck with EoTech as well recently. Heck, some guys don't have problems with the old EOTechs.

I chose Vortex because of the warranty, and I didn't like what EOTech did.

Why risk it? They lied good and long until discovered.
Why risk it when you have better, more reliable options?
I just went with aimpoint.

As far as the one shot comment goes, I think it has more to do with the reputation of a company. L3 knew of the problem, but didn't bother to notify anyone or do anything about it until they were called on it.  What's worse, is they did it with the US military where soldiers were depending on Eotechs in combat.  Compare that to other companies who as soon as they learn of a problem, will proactively reach out to the consumer and offer a remedy.  Integrity means an awful lot in the gun industry.  Many companies have made or broke themselves because of it.  I won't touch another Eotech, especially when there are perfectly good Aimpoints for sale.

I never did either that I noticed but just about the entire left side of the window had delaminated so the reticle would disappear on the majority of that side. It does sound like that issue as been resolved though with the newer models.

Even if they have, why bother? Too many other good choices than to fuck around with eotech.

i did but to be fair mine was on a gun that I used extensively for predator hunting in Alaska.. in the winter.. So if I zeroed around 0 degrees then re checked at -20 or -30 there would be a substantial change in POA/POI. And that sucks because in the winter there one day it can be 0 or even a little above then be -50 three days later so unless you want to re-zero/confirm zero every outing it was damn near useless when shooting at fox/lynx/wolf size targets at 200+ yards.

Talks about the new ones and also reference in here to how every optic has about 1.5 moa of thermal drift.

How much thermal drift do aimpoints, acogs, and other optics have compared to Eotech?

Eotech was at a 3 moa thermal drift, now they say up to 1.5, i believe an aimpoint t2 he said in his video was the least with 1.2 moa

I don't disagree at all. It was a shitty thing to do. I think they thought they could fix the issue and replace as they came back from the DoD, instead of doing the right thing.

Very easy to have a temperature swing of 130 F to 95 F here in Texas if you have a rifle in a car that sits parked for an hour. Unfortunately, that was pretty common for me.

This has me tempted to get a new EXPS3-0 to replace my H1. Probably will still keep the Pro however.

And that is why I will never buy one new. I may buy one used someday, especially if I get a clone going, but I won't give the company my money for this exact reason.
