Not much to complain about here, other than the Chief of Police's "it's a tragedy" comment.

Yea, because this isn't going to haunt that girl for life or anything.  I bet she did an end zone dance before the smell of gunpowder cleared.

Maybe she would have if she didn't hit her aunt in the shoulder.

Edit: Those saying good shoot, do you read the article? One of the rounds fired passed though the fucks body and went into the aunts shoulder. The ending could have been very very tragic.

Would you rather that she had run away?  Or that she had just watched in horror?  Or that she face charges now?  Would that be better for you?

This wasn't an accidental shooting: The guy was out on bail with a restraining order, he broke into the house, he was in the process of murdering her aunt.  This young lady didn't choose to be in this situation.

While I'm sure she would prefer that incident this had never happened, I'm also quite sure she'll recover a lot quicker knowing that she saved her aunt, herself, and likely her kid from violent deaths at the hands of an abusive pyschopath, rather than re-living the helpless feeling of seeing her aunt choked to death and being unable to do anything about it.

Good shoot but I'll take the LEOs call regarding the man involved and what it appears to say about his character up to this event.

Have a friend who's mom killed her abusive husband.  From what I can tell the mom is still a little off from it.

Yeah, the over-penetration is tragic.  The dead dirt bag?  Not so much.

Take note that protective orders do not protect or prevent anything.

If you think it will then hold one up to your face and see if it will stop

a punch or a bullet.

Edit  BTW good shoot.
