I was reading a short story in one of the latest Shotgun News issues. This story took place in a mythical town called Happy Valley USA. In the story it described how a convoy of UN troops was heading to the town and was attacked by locals who knew better than to trust the UN. It stated how these patriots had been couragous enough to stand up for freedom and resist the UN.
I just don't understand why people in the gun community just don't trust the UN. It seems to me that we would just be all be better off to join in the peace of the rest of the world and give up our guns. They described these terrorists as patriots for resisting a common sense body of world governments. I think we all need to wake up and trust in are leaders. I think if there were any need for protection than the UN troops would come in and save us all.
I really can't believe anyone in this group of people would just be willing to disobey common sense rules and laws just by some misguided sense of patriotism.
Those ideas set forth by the founders of this country have no place in this day and age. With modern communication and transportation, I think the government is more than suited to look out for us all.I hope you all agree.[:D]
