History is forever being rewritten to reflect notions that certain peoples are evil, while others are good, and so forth. Here's a little item I found out about Hannibal, the same Carthaginian dude who ran elephants over the Alps. This was enscribed on an old Grecian urn from around 100BC. Reading it gives us an idea of what historians from that era don't want us to know. It seems Hannibal wasn't killed in the Carthaginian Wars as we had been told. He survived and decided to go into business for himself to support his retirement. He could his hands to survive in the battlefield, and they would serve him well in his latest endeavor. So he opened his first House of HJ. He did so well that he expanded into neighboring villages, and soon selling franchises to others. It was alleged that he personally trained everyone of these early entrepreneurs. Soon signs along the Apian Way beckoned weary travelers like hotel chains of today. Frequent visitors were given a book of discount coupons, and 2 for 1 specials were common. Every hour was "happy hour". As a result of these many establishments, the population began to decline.Families became disfunctional as many men headed down the well- worn paths to the nearest "Hannibal's House of HJ". The Roman senate decided to do an investigation to see firstHAND for themselves. Evidently the hands of the young workers were pretty rough and calloused by that time, so the experience wasn't an enjoyable one. They ordered all the HJ houses torched. Hannibal escaped to Spain where he lived out his life as a physical therapist.
