Firstly, I'd like to say that I also went to see the facebook movie (the social network) and it was very good and I encourage anyone who reads this to see it.

After that, I went to the firing line in south philly and handled a kimber custom 1911.  I nearly had an orgasm.  It fit my hand so perfectly.. the trigger was so crisp.. I was sad to put it down.

I can't wait to own one.

I thought so to until I fixed a bunch of them...

Was not impressed with the quality for the price asked.

Plastic main spring housings (among other shit parts)... Stainless guns that were Rusting from the INSIDE OUT in Colorado of all places... (so dry there, I never had to wipe/oil my carry gun.... unlike here in FL where you got to oil stuff regularly or it will rust)... but Stainless... in CO... The guy had shot the gun once, and owned it for a few months he said. We were both convinced it was like that from the factory but who knows for sure. (it was a significant amount of pitted rust)

I've shot some nice ones I really liked... and I know there are plenty of people who love their kimbers
... but personally I would never give kimber my money. There are better options out there for that kinda buck. Not to mention it seems like every ill-informed yuppie I meet owns a kimber because they saw them in some magazine they read .

Mine has run perfectly for about 5 years of moderate use.

I will own an Ed Brown soon.

I have a Colt with customized Wilson parts and I also have a Glock.

As nice as my .45 is, I'd grab my Glock first if something is going down.

Just wait 'til you shoot one.

I love 1911s, I carry a Hi Power but I'm definitely getting a 1911 or ten for my next gun.

Well, either the DIXI I've been communicating with off board isn't the "arf" DIXI, or, you just pussed out on the whole deal because of the dots that could be connected.

Really, I'm cool with it either way.  I honestly don't give that much of a shit, but I like to play.  This one wasn't even any fun.

Try to be a little more entertaining with your next screen name.  I don't have much else to do with my life

I'm already pissed.

The AR .308 battle rifle is next, the one I own is a bench shooter. I'm after the LMT, and that's $3k.

I already have one 1911, Jesus knows I need more. First the 308, then the Brown.

That's $5k.

A fuckin guy can't just pitch out $5k, this shit takes some work.

I'm not knocking them. I own one

In fact last night at the club I had the chance to shoot a members new Desert Warrior.

He had just picked it up and drove straight to the club.

I liked it , it shot fine.

Though I haven't had the chance to shoot one, I must say when fondling 1911's at funshows and gun shops, it always seems like it'd be the best fit for my hands. Get me one in 7.62 Tok and I'm there!

In 1981, I purchased a Gov. model series 70 for the price of ....$ 300 and was only fired 5 times, buddy did not like it.  I sent it to Colt's custom shop with a letter that is was to be my duty gun.
Colt sent it back to me with the minor list of things they did and as they explained, theirs were service ready.
I still have all the paperwork, and the Colt endured 20+ years of duty carry.
I have several brands now, and using the Letter from Colt as a guide, all function great.
Wetting your pants just says you spent too long on the firing line.
