it's like darwin awards, but for pets
Scooter, a Siamese cat living in San Clemente, California came in third. Scooter was suffering from seizures and as a technician prepped the cat for an MRI, she noticed a sewing needle and thread lodged in the back of poor Scooter's throat. The sewing needle had pierced the back of the cat's tongue, the top of her throat and part of her brain, causing the intermittent seizures. Once the needle was removed, Scooter was back to her old self in a matter of days.
