Mom kicked me out at 16, had to drop out of high school got my GED and moved in with my girlfriend who was also abandoned by her parents, we both worked dead end jobs just to pay the rent, at some points we didn't even have money to eat on. Fast forward a few years, my then girlfriend gets pregnant, she took on two jobs, I worked long hours for nothing. We lived in a falling down shack, no heat, windows broken out, gaps in the doors you name it, we had no help what so ever.
We stayed humble, kept a positive attitude and kept trying. Then my little girl was born, I knew I had to get my shit together, still jumping from job to job, struggling to make ends meet at the end of the week. Well today I just got a call from my new boss, I got a job I have been trying to get for the past 5 years, well I finely got it. I start off at 65k a year. I start next week. I'm 23, I came from a welfare family, bunch of dead beats and drug addicts that had no work ethic what so ever and made a success out of myself with zero help from the government and damn does it feel good to buy food at WalMart with money and not food stamps. It's been a long and hard road for me but I made it. God bless this country, where a nobody like me can make it. I today live in a new home, own all my vehicles and have a surplus in the bank, I'm now projected to bring in around $2500 every two weeks. Even though this country has a lot of screwed up things going on with it, no where else in the world could someone like me do this. As for my now wife, she went on to college and is now a physical therapist making 100k+ a year. If you stay positive and keep trying, the sky is the limit. My family is living proof of that. Shit like this is why I despise liberals and their bs. Feel free to share any success stories you may have, I love hearing them. |

Good for you brother.
Liberals HATE people like you because with hard work, motivation, and personal responsibility, you have become successful and happy without government help Wish you all the best of luck in the future as well. Pics of the little one? |

High school dropout: U.S. Navy, now an Aircraft Mechanic for Fedex: about $80K a year, put my wife through Nursing school, we own our own home, two cars paid for, kids in private school, life is good!

Now, you're REALLY fucked! Serously..... outstanding job in showing that American success IS obtainable, despite what Obama & company like to tell people! |

Congrats on the new job! BTW, never say you're a nobody...you're someone who struggled, survived and succeeded!

Great job! You're a couple years younger than me and doing way better
|

perseverance and hard work really got you through this..... good work......

At 23 you're doing better than people I know who are in their 40's. With your attitude things will only get better. Thanks for sharing. I'm tired of hearing lazy people bitch (not directed at anyone on this forum, but people I know).
I hope I don't sound negative. I have a similar story. Keep your head up and avoid people who don't share your work ethic. |

Congratulations, however now you get to pay what 34% of your paycheck as taxes?

You just made my day bro. We need to hear stuff like this with all the horrible shit that's going on around us. The bible tells of how good news warms the heart. Good for you and many blessings to you and your family.
I too dropped out of school in the 10th grade and was out of my house in my teens. Joined the Army, fought a war in the Mideast. Got out and married a girl who started out life by being left on the doorstep of a Church when she was a baby. When I met her, I had nothing but my good name, and she only had a single red suitcase full of clothes. The two of use didn't have 2 nickels to rub together. In fact less than two nickels as we were in a shitload of debt and struggling to pay our bills. Fast forward 15 years, long story short: We're the proud parents of a beautiful little girl. Financial wise over the last 6 months alone I've brought in 6 figures. She's a CPA with a Masters degree and her own business. There are still certain hardships, but I thank God for every day. Thank you for starting this thread. |

tell a liberal that and they will just call you lucky and ignore the hard wwork you guys put in to make it all happen.

Congratulations! It amazes me to watch some silver spoon kids fail at life and then to see a story like yours.

Both of you were determined to raise yourself from the ground. Neither allowed yourself to be discouraged or knocked down by misfortune. Kudos to both of you.

Great job, bro ! I'm proud to hear that people like you continue to exist in this country.

Reverse success story.
I have been doing construction work since I was 16, (21 years ago). I collected up tools for a couple years and at the age of 22 I put an add in the phone book and started my own business. I did well from the start and made alot of money. I took some money and purchased some land. About 3 years later I had a big beautiful house I had built in cash. About the same time my wife decided she was in love with a midget she worked with,''yes a midget''a goofy chubby midget at that. Anyway, after the 80,000$ loan I took to pay her off I no longer owned my home. I decided to sell the house and build another house. I found some wooded land just 2 minutes from the city''perfect''. I then built an even larger and more beautiful house in cash again. So now I have a new home, work trucks,a Hummer and lots of guns all paid for. I even picked up a beautiful wife and kids along the way. Seems like my life is a complete success except the last couple years since the economy changed I have had to get rid of my employees and struggle to find enough work for me alone to do. I dropped my prices so much to get jobs that I can hardly make any money when I do work. Luckily my wife has a good job to keep things going. Now at 37 years old, after being use to a 6 figure income I am wondering what to do?I may very well end up working at Lowes for 8$ an hour. |

You not the only one bro, hang in there I know I am.Right now the way things are there are way more of us getting fucked then success story's. Congrats OP ,things in life change all the time so hold on to what you have as hard as you can because you never know whats around the corner ! |

The best part about it, is that you will appreciate everything you have, because it is ALL yours, and of your doing.
When you earn every single pound of it, it tastes even sweeter. I'm 28, wife is 26... and we're on our way, but not there yet. We aren't doing bad by any means, but we have a long way to go still. Gaining ground every day. Hearing stories like that helps keep me motivated. Thanks, OP.

Congrats on the hard work ethic. Now on with the pics. |

Cool story bro. Seriously, a genuinely cool story. I'll offer up some advice - I get to do that 'cause I'm 52yrs old . Start right now saving money for your retirement. 10% of your combined income at minimum. When you get to my age you will not regret that decision. |
