Every time I've interacted with Apple support I've been highly disappointed.  Their support is utter crap, at least at the consumer level.

Don't know. The link is "http://www.macrumors.com/2013/07/25/apples-iphone-activation-servers-experiencing-extended-outage/"

When I paste that into a browser it works.

When I click the link posted, the URL becomes:

http://www.macrumors.com/2013/07/25/apples-iphone-activation-servers-experiencing-extended-outage/%3Cbr%20/%3E/

Why is it adding "/%3Cbr%20/%3E/" at the end - I do not know. I guess I fail at the internet today.

Their phone support is not apple it is a call center with mouth breathing lowest common denominators, to fat and fucked to get on with the FSA TSA.

Partially correct. An iPhone activation requires authentication with Apple's iTunes servers, in addition to the carrier.

Its really not that hard to figure out a broken link.

No experience with the CS. I just use the phone and support it myself.

just got into apple products full-scale, and i've only had one support call, but that guy was great.  seemed like their internal system was a bit cumbersome, but the level of customer service was top-notch.

maybe i just got lucky.
