Failure to stick the landing will cause a points deduction.
Shitty ass camera work. |
|
The inability of some people to hold a simple object and POINT it at something continues to amaze and disappoint me.
|
|
That vid made me giggle all night. So much for watching out for changing road and weather conditions while driving. HAHHAHAHAHA

Reminds me of crossing the Yukon territory and hitting the frost heaves at 70 mph with a loaded 3/4 ton pulling a twin axle trailer.
|
|
I'm not so sure which was worse, the stupidity of the driver, or the stupidity of the camerawoman.

Is it really so hard to keep control when flying in a straight line? Maybe the suspension/steering broke? |
|
Shit... now I want to hop in the car and head to Eau Claire. Only a 2 hour drive. I bet I can get more airtime.
|
|
Wow, that was a little more than I was expecting. I'm impressed.

It's the fact the driver was situationally unaware to the max beforehand that is stupid. |

Can I sue the camerman for the crink in my neck I suffered while trying to watch his incredibly lousy camera work?

I guess they will take the "Bump Ahead" signs more seriously.
Did the Highway Dept. have more warning signs before the bump or called it good at the bump? |
|
My favorite part was when you missed the relevant part of the video to film your door panel. |

Dumb Yankees have not learned how to build roads yet. So you don't understand that those roads see temps between -10 and 105 every year? Not the mention the constand abuse from snow plows for months. If you can design a better road at a good price, I'm sure you'll be a very rich man in no time. |
|
Ha-ha that's awesome I wanna try looks kinda fun. I'm guessing they fucked up the front end and that's why they swerved but I'm pretty sure the brakes would still work

I've had a truck airborne a couple of times. The landings are hard! Both times I broke some front end components. Not to the point of loss of control but damn I sure don't do that stuff anymore!

The fuck? Good job DPS on the hazard warning AT the hazard rather than ahead of it. Not saying the driver shouldn't have been paying attention, but it looked like the only visible signs for what appeared to be a major hazard to navigation were directly ON it.
That said, I was expecting a massive rollover. At least the SUV driver kept the shiny side up. He's gonna need new underwear and an alignment, but he didn't roll his car. |
|
I'm also amazed at how many people can even see the street ahead of them. On top of that the driver saw the bump, and then did the most pathetic braking attempt ever. Slowed to 40mph and said, "That's probably enough."
Someone needs to break out a Trophy Truck and go at it. |

Bo and Luke Duke coulda landed that one! If you ever take a close look at the opening for The Dukes of Hazzard, you can see that they bent the frame on one of the cars when they hit the ground. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRX4mlFi06A It happens at 1:00. |

I'm sure that frame was severely twisted and many steering/ suspension parts catastrophically failed as soon as it hit the bump. Even if it landed on all 4 tires, there's no way it would roll strait. |

That might've caused a loss of control, but it sure is hard to discount the effect of assheadedness that is so inarguably on display. |

You can't tell from the vid if there were additional warning signs on the other side of the overpass (before the hazard). You'd think the big ass hazard signs on both sides of the road would have been an indication to (I dunno) slow the hell down a little though.... |
|
I'm surprised they didn't close the road way to get that fixed if the "bump" was that large and dangerous.

I always thought a vehicle turned towards the side of a lost wheel or blown tire though.

Right now I'm doing my best to imagine a guy on a crotch rocket coming down that stretch of highway at about 165.
Would that be sufficient velocity to achieve LEO?
