There is a preview showing for the new show Thief.

The lyrics include (I think):

No tomorrow.

It sounds like REM or something but I'm not sure.

I need your help O' Hivemind.

I searched that, but couldn't find that author.  There was something about them being the same band ass Tears for Fears???

This is really weird

Boy that song was used very effectively in the movie Donnie Darko.  I can't believe someone is trying to associate it with something else.

Yeah I havn't seen DD in many years.  They did use it effectively in the preview for Thief.

Which is here:

I thought the band was Jars Of Clay. Its a Christian band

The song in the preview, and Donnie Darko, is a Gary Jules cover of the Tears for Fears song "Mad World"

I've got two versions of the Gary Jules cover on my PC.  One's titled "Mad World" and the other one's "Mad World (Alternate Version)"  I didn't notice which one was in the preview for "Thief" but the one I have labeled as "alternate" is definatly better than the other one.

I posted the video of the preview in this thread.  It is a slow version that is not as "dancy" as the tears for fears version.

Both the Gary Jules versions are like that.

Ok, I listened to both versions I have.  I guess I got 'em mixed up because the "alternate version" isnt' as good as the other one I have.  It's got some really bad sounding fake drums in it.  The other one's all piano with a little bit of synth and is definatly the one from the preview.  The other one almost sounds like a demo.

Both versions are on the Donnie Darko soundtrack.
