Ok, this is an odd one but here goes....

I have a really good friend who's a 3d artist... (think game shit) He's applying for a job, and part of the requirements for the application process is he needs to demonstrate his skills....

Ok, sounds normal enough, right ? Wrong

They send him a 3D model that he needs to create textures for, but he cant change the model in ANY way, to make doing this easier. Makes no sense, but what can ya do.....

He needs some pics of a combat boot..... Plain black leather, or even a jungle boot would do.

Some worn, used, kinda beat up looking ones would be perfect....

Problem is, neither he, nor I have anything like that......

Ok, so off to Arfcom to beg for assistance!

Can ANYONE here, lend a hand, and take some pics of a boot for me (him) ??

He needs specific angle shots. Front, top (looking down on it) back, each side, and lastly the bottom (tread)

They dont have to be perfect, but they need to be fairly decent.... Don't have to be huge either, like 640x480 would be fine... Mostly anything an average joe could snap with a cheapie digital cam, would be just fine.

Guys..... any help PLEEEEASE ??

He's a good kid and I'd like to help him out, but all I have handy are a pair of beat up carolina work boots.

If one of ya could snap a few pics of your battle scarred combat type boot, it'd REALLY be awesome

I'd really like to see him get the job as he's a very talented kid (I say kid.... he's like 26 or so) and a hard worker. He deserves it.

A little help ??? I'd be your best friend even hahaha

Seriously, I'd really appreciate it, and I know he'd be super grateful for anything one of y'all could do.

Thanks a bunch guys and/or gals !

If it comes down to it, go to Walmart and buy a $20 pair of boots.
Tie them behind a car and drive a bit.
Keep stopping to check them out.
If you have a 4x4 truck and a field, that would probably work even better.
