This is more of a heads up. I started using 50/50 juice recently as opposed to 65/35. I noticed that on the Tobeco I was getting a few dry hits here and there. Both have the same builds…exactly. The HCigar keeps hitting and hitting, no dry hits ever. After looking them both up and down a few times I finally figured out the problem. The juice channel on the head is smaller in the Tobeco. It doesn't have as much flow as the Hcigar so the thicker juice doesn't get to the head quite as well. Put in some 65/35 and no dry hits again. I guess I will pull out the dremel and remedy the problem.

Tobeco on left and HCigar on right. You can see the difference in the channels.

Looks like you could go wider with the channel but not deeper.

You could go both actually. If you saw it in person it is shallower and narrower.

Yea but it won't be today. Maybe this weekend if I have time.

I just ordered another HCigar Kayfun anyway. I can't tell the difference next to the real thing.

I just built my first kayfun lite this evening.

So far so good, no dry hits on 50/50 Five Pawns Gambit..

But I'd like to see what to do in case I start getting them.

From what I have read and from personal use, dry hits don't happen.

I've gotten some dry hits from my hicigar 3.1. What i do is plug the center hole on the base, the airflow hole, and draw on it with out firing the mod a couple times every 10-15 hits. No more dry hits, mucho flavor.

Your wick isn't covering the channels is it? You may want to play around with the wick. It took me a couple times but once I get it right I haven't had a dry hit at all.
