Little duct tape and some red Krylon spray paint and it'll be good as new.

Mequires cleaner wax and a buffer.  Maybe a black sharpie for some touch up.

I'd lay off the buffer myself, looks like it's been buffed enough.

$72K for a motorcycle?  OMFG.  I know I'm one to talk, but that doesn't seem right to me.

At a track, wtf did he expect?

Sad to see one crashed like that, but less sad than seeing one with 0 miles on it, never to be ridden.

This is no normal motorcycle. It is basically a MotoGP race bike with lights and mirrors. Everything on it is pretty much the best, most high performance parts available.

Bodywork is all CF
Forks alone would cost you $12,000
The 3 brake calipers are about $6,000
Forged Magnesium Marchesini wheels about $8,000
etc...

Does it come with those training wheels or do they cost extra?  Guy could have saved a lot of money by leaving them on.

That is a rearstand (instead of a kickstand), and yes it comes with the bike

It better come with it for that kind of coin, but I'm guessing it doesn't have a kickstand to save weight because its for racing.... which would make it not practical to drive to the store or something.

Hopefully he could afford to buy it because he would now be the pround owner of a rashed up desmo RR.

At least he had the balls to take it to the track and ride it like it's supposed to be ridden.

They have a kick stand. The rear stand or swingarm stand is more stable and used for maintenance such as changing tires or adjusting/lubing the chain.

as Jeremy has said it is pretty much a F1 level  vehicle that anyone can buy and run on the street

not really a automotive equivalent to it

Not until you can buy Raikkonen's F1 Ferrari off of a showroom, at least!

It's easy to have a set of balls with a $72,000 motorcycle when it's not yours.   I hope that jackass wrote the owner a large check.

The jackass is apparently the owner of a $72k bike that lets someone else flog it on a race track.

No sympathy.

I think the crasher bought it from the owner.

I'm pretty sure I crashed in the same corner or the one after it once upon a time.

At a recent track day at PIR, I saw a GT2 put it into the wall.

ouch!

Owner was miffed, but did not seem distraught. I guess if you can afford the ride, you can afford to fix it.

<no pics, sorry>
