HELP... I am selling my Tactical with goodies(6 mags,Trijicon,CCF Vortex F.S. and Thread Protector) for a trade...I wanted a rifle like a HK 91, SAR 8 or something like that...

I was offered a 98% P7 M-13. Two mags , no box, manual or tools...Manual is no problem as I just bought one at HK for $6.50 plus I can find tools.... OR..... A 98% P7 M-8(KH not refurb) Hard chromed by Metalife, 3  chromed mags, box and tools, Trijicon Night Sites.... I like the high cap yet the narrower M8 would be better for my wife to use also. She has a USP 9 full now that she loves...WHICH ONE WOULD YOU CHOOSE??????....

Personally, the P7 M-13 would be by far my first choice. Is it refurbed?

If the M-13 is in real good shape, there really isn't a contest here. Take it and run. HK Tac's can be had for well under a thousand. As far as accessories go, you always take a dive when they're included in the trade, so concentrate mostly on the guns themselves.

HK M-13's will do nothing but leap in value. They're considered by many as the finest 9mm ever made, and having 13 rounds in a P-7 is a luxury that will never happen again.

No question the 13 is most unique.

The squeeze cocking mechanism is wonderful, but does present issues for those of us with more than one pistol.  The manual of arms under stress often returns to the most practiced.  It is possible to close the action by squeezing the grip before the full magazine is inserted, which will seriously slow you down.

My wife was not able to squeeze the M8.

Do I wish I still had one?  You bet.  I regret selling my P7M8 nearly every day.  It is superb.

Your tactical with two 10 round mags and night sights is worth about $850-$900.  Didn't you estimate that you had $2000 in the whole package?  (But with $150 per 12 round mag)

An M13 with two mags is worth about $1100.  You make the call.

An aftermarket chromed M8 with two mags is worth about $900-$950.

These prices, in my opinion, are at the high end for the street.

You should be trading straight up, your Tactical with two 10 round mags for M8 or your Tactical, two 10 round mags and two 12 round mags for M13.

Me personally, I like the M8, and have one.  The M13 has too boxy a grip for me.

D K,

I would also go for the M13--I have a PSP, and it is far better than my USP.  I would see if I could keep 2 or 3 of the mags for the Tac., in case you get a USP or replacement Tac (the high-caps. are the hardest things to find).

Electrical spark.. The M8 deal trade would be with 2 of my high cap 12 rounders and the M-13 deal would be 6 of my high cap 12 rounder mags... Now go figure.. M-8 or M-13???

Don't listen to these guys... Just give me the buyers name and I will set him straight.  =)

I have an extra tac laying around somewhere.

All kidding aside... I'd do the m13 if you aren't attached to your Tac. (though, don't do the accs. with it... you could trade the whole she-bang for a decent HK91)

D K,

Don't do it.  Not worth it to you.

KY Imports is selling (Shotgun News April 1 Issue--{'Same as Newstand April 9'}) P7 M8's for  $680 (with 1 mag, additional mags $25 in V.G. Condition).  P7 M13's for $800/950 (no mag in VG /As New condition, with New mags $129).

Figure your gun is worth $800, the extras $50 to $100, the Mags @ $125 each.

I'd sell the gun, buy a DSA STG-58 gun ($800 dealer cost).  Sell the mags, and buy the P7 M8 and a couple of mags (get it chrome plated later if that's what turns you on).
