[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Gunbroker user verification question

Need help from Gunbroker experts

I was setting up a new account with gunbroker in order to auction of some items. The site wanted me to spend 2 dollars and answer some finance questions like what bank my student loans and mortgage are under (it was multiple choice not fill in the blank.) Is this normal procedure or did I get directed to a phishing site? I don't remember setting up anything like this for e-bay.

How the hell do you get that far? Every time I've tried to register my account to sell I get this BS message:

"There was an error retrieving the verification questions. Please try again at a later time."

Its been doing that for the last couple weeks and Gunbroker hasn't returned my emails to resolve this.
