I had a couple Liberty 25's I paid around $750 for at local Fun Shop. Shop around and you should be able to find a gun shop trying to unload one they have been sitting on for a while.

Note: Keybad is better than dial combination. I prefer the looks of the dial, but it is slow as shit if your getting in and out of the safe a lot.

Champion Victory V35. Great safe. I like the interior workmnship better than the Liberty safes.

My dad has a Liberty 35 Ft3 model and its a good safe. He is as happy with it as I amwith my Champion.

Dial locks rule. No batteries to die and no electronics to be destroyed by EMP when the big one hits!

Agree totally.
Keypad is the way to go. I'm in and out of mine morning and night at a minimum. Spinning combo in the dark (with bumps) aint happening. Keypad is touch sensitive and easy to do in the dark. Also buy twice as large as you presently need (as a rule). My safe was a little more than a grand and quickly filled up. This may sound like a stretch but just wait for the following posts. I prefer Cannon based on their NO NONSENSE policy. Fire/burglary or Whatever.....they replace it. For the money its the best value on the market. And its fire rated at 1500 degrees for 30 minutes....
Good Luck

Is bolting it to the floor overkill?

No. Permanently encasing in concrete in your home's sub-structure - maybe.

BTW, get a much larger one than you think you need - it still won't be big enough in the long run...

ETA: Sorry for the redundancy, quijanos - I didn't see your comment until I had posted this above.

Not at all. Thats the way to do it right (per manufacturer's instructions). Anything that will slow down or inhibit someone from ripping you off. I was able to move my 525 lb safe easily by myself using a dolly. Bolt that sucker down.

Costco has a Cannon Executive 23 cu. ft. for $679.00 , provided you pick it up, otherwise it's $875.00

I hate to say it but... have you tried Walmart?

They have a 60' X 22' X 30' Winchester (Granite) thats fire proof, weighs 575 lbs. and has an electronic lock for $548.

It's not a top-of-the line safe (although pretty darn nice) and you can save a bunch of money and buy more guns!!!!!

No problem Hardshell

Nope. A couple of 1/2 or 5/8 inch x 6"r's should work fine. Wedge Anchors that is.
Unless you get fancy and epoxy all thread in place.........either way you'll need a rotary hammer

It's hard to get a safe here without paying $200 for shipping from somewhere.

The only Champion dealer has stopped carrying them due to slow sales.

There is only one Liberty dealer so they never have sales. 23cf Colonial (low end of their scale) is $999 matte or $1099 glossy.

The Cannon dealer is out and isn't placing another order for 2 months. Bleh.
