The latest gun laws are very confusing!

I would like to know what on this list is leagle & illeagle in NY state!

I'm not a LEO, just a New York resident and gun owner.

With two exceptions, everything on that list is legal in New York State. HOWEVER:

1) New York City, and other local communities, have their own rules.

2) New York state has it's own version of the old Federal assault weapons ban, and is essentially identical it. If your semiautomatic rifle has too many evil features (pistol grip, flash hider, bayo lug, detatchable mag, etc) it is not legal here unless it they were grandfathered in. As a general rule, lose the bayo lug and the flashhider and you are fine. New-manufactured hi-caps are a no-no.
