Gonna be going to the gun show in about an hour.  Anybody have any suggestions to add to my list?  Besides ammo that is!  Tell me what you think.[;D]

It always seems that I am short on one cleaning/maintenance supply or another.   Brushes, patches, mops, solvent.   I try to remember to do an inventory before buying trips but usually forget.

Cleaning supplies (especially patches). Forget about ammo unless you are looking to pay higher prices than usual.

I'll tell you what not to your add to your list:  Don't eat at the gunshow unless you like paying overly inflated prices.  I'll admit that I have it better than some people in the wallet department, but I find food prices at gun shows exorbitantly ridiculous!   IMO, not only that, but the quality of the food and drinks really suck at the gun shows I attend.

Cheap Beenie Babies.

They make great colorful, fluffy exploding targets. Nothing but bright fur and a mist of erupting beans with a good body shot.

And the 10th essiential thing to buy at a gun show is......(drumroll)..... OH WAIT A MINUTE, IT'S A TIE!,

That's right it's a tie between really cheap ass survival knives.... and .... the buy 3 get 10 free blowgun specials!

#11 would have been the airsoft pellet guns, but they were upstaged by a Cowboy Action shooter in his Buffalo Bill outfit selling Chinese made Single Action Vaquero copies in 44mag.

When I go to gunshows, I avoid purchasing things that can be found darn near anywhere.  There are plenty of things that good gunshows have that aren't usually available in the local area.  Some ideas:

-ruptured case extractors (great for crummy surplus ammo)
-military grade rifle cleaning gear
-bandoleer kits
-survival/patriot literature
-killflash scope filters
-inexpensive dremel tool attachments ;-)
-field repair kits for your black rifles
-misc 782 gear (you should have this already!)
-once fired brass
-you can never have too much ammo
