Hey Guys,
I am doing a research paper on gun rights and gun control and I just want to know if any1 can direct me to some good websites or sources with statistics and any other additional information (or actual papers ). Sorry if this has been posted before but the general forum search is disabled. Any help is much appreciated.
Thank You

It depends what level of paper you are writing. If you are talking about a college paper and need empirical models John Lott is the normal starting point. If you are doing a secondary sources paper you should start with the documents from the time of the ratification of the COnstitution/BOR and evaluate what the founding fathers said. THEN move forward into the evolution of case law and statute law on the subject.

Here is a good read on how the courts have used case law to define and regulate guns. This particular one is the most interesting as to how the courts will tweek law to meet a desired outcome.

The really funny part is,

How much fact based info is available to promote the anti-gun ownership crowd?

Can any1 help me remember a saying about history and gun control?
It listed different countries such as The British taking away guns in India ect. Had something to do along the lines of how a goverment takes away a persons guns so they will not be able to resist and fight back.
I thought I saw it on here in some1's signature.
Thanks Alot
