I have been a paintball player since the mid-80s and have run across all kinds of odd things when dealing with the anti self defense crowd.

This AM I received the following email from someone in my hometown:

I received this email about the current litigation regarding paintball guns in NYC Sports Authority. Basically, Sports Authority is being forced to remove paintball markers because according to some people, they look "too real". Use the link below to read the full story and sign the petition that will help keep our sport alive. Thank you for your support.

Below is a copy of the email I was sent:

Hello,

In support of the Sports Authority NYC, Tippman, Kingman and the sport of Paintball in general, please post a link on your website to the online petition dealing with the article below.

The link is: http://www.petitiononline.com/pb101/petition.html

Please encourage all of your readers and everyone that you know, to
read and sign the petition.

Thank you.

Try to convince your paintball friends to support real gun owners as well.  I have argued with them about gun control at pbreview.com and most seem to be pro-gun-control, but anti paintball control.

Most just don't see the disconnect...

"It's cheaper to by an illegal gun off the streets than it is to buy a paintball gun. You'll only hurt the enthusiasts who enjoy the
sport & recreation by restricting these air guns."

356 sigs and hopefully climbing.

Played paintball for years. Will be playing once again someday.

Great place to practice movement to contact and small unit drills.

Thanks to everyone so far.

I am so glad that the internet has become a great place to network.  When I first started playing paintball and tried to educate the newspapers and such, I got nowhere fast.  Even had an editor laugh at me and hang up.

I haven't read APG in a long time.  I had a subscription back in the late 80s, but let it lapse after the issues were getting thinner and thinner and seeing them rehash the same stuff over and over again.
